Re: Online leagues 2k15, The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
You mean the motherload? Anyway, thrilled you agree with me, but I disagree with your baby steps argument. I think you failed to understand the logic of my original post completely, because I essentially said that a baby steps approach would ultimately doom us. Why? If a small fix comes out now for Online Leagues as they are, simply to fix basic errors, chances are that will be the extent of changes or additions to the mode for this year. That will make things playable, yes, but it will also ignore those players seeking the full features of online association. Once online leagues are patched, what are the chances 2K creates an entirely new Online Association mode, when the two are essentially the same thing in their eyes?
I'm not suggesting that patching online into MyLeague is a simple undertaking. My point is that it logically makes the most sense. It doesn't take one to be or pretending to be a dev to reach that conclusion.
You can hope for a patch now and a new game mode next year, but it just doesn't make sense to patch online leagues if you're only going to bring out a more complete version of the exact same game mode next year, ditching the mode you just patched up. If your worried about devs workload with my suggestion, I don't see how this would rectify that, as they are essentially doing twice the work.
It just doesn't seem realistic that both the current online leagues and an online association mode will coexist, so why not just do away with what is broken? The size of the undertaking itself aside, patching online into MyLeague eliminates the concept of possibly having both a redundant online league and an online association mode, and does so using interfaces already established within the game for single player. It's not like we're asking them to add any features which aren't already in the game, aside from basic admin and schedule control. We're not asking for the glamorous features of MyGm either, things which would be cumbersome to adapt to online multiplayer like player meetings. We just want the options and control of MyLeague.
Case in point; LD2k was quoted in this thread as saying "We all want Online Leagues to get to the point where it is wanted again." It was a small dig that went over alot of people's heads. What he meant to say is that Leagues and OA's in last gen were not nearly as popular as the other game modes, hence the neglect by the developers, resulting in this barebones catastrophe that we are trying to keep afloat with work arounds.
Another case in point is when I spotted Leftos (Myleague/MyGm) developer in another thread. He had just answered a user's question about the mode. After that post, I immediately asked him a question of what the level of effort would be to bring Myleague online. There was no answer; nada; crickets if you will. He then proceeded to continue answering other posters questions. My point is not to cast any aspersions on Leftos; instead its to bring a dose of reality to you and all of us Online League/Association heads. Myleague online is a fantasy right now; a pipe dream that we all yearn for yet 2k shows no signs of delivering.
We know what we have for the moment. It's barebones Online leagues that we are fighting to keep in the game with additional basic admin options. When the motherload of Myleague online ever comes, I will be the first to celebrate with you brother. Cheers.

Re: Online leagues 2k15, The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
Hey man, sorry for the delayed response. I feel your frustration with the games not registering in your league. Can you provide more information about your league setup? How many users are in your league? Did you use the default or custom roster? Have any games registered at all or is it hit or miss? Several people, including myself have tested small sample size leagues of 2 to 4 members, and have verified that the games are registering. There was a time in which our the games were not registering on release day, but from wedsnesday to today, the games have been registering for most people; again this is with small sample size leagues. My league of 30 people are still in the midst of getting the rosters and playbooks customized, so we haven't verified a fully loaded league with regards to the games registering. Obviously, it is not registering for your league; this is what I was alluding to in an earlier post when I said that I hoped games registering would not be hit or miss. I would recommend starting over in a fresh league if you guys aren't already too deep with games played. If that is not an option, after games are played, you can simulate the win or losses for your members; this would be an immerson killer since the stats wouldn't be reflective of the actual games played. Ugggh!...2k needs to fix this ASAP. Without games registering, this mode will be beyond repair and unplayable even with all of our work arounds. Can anyone please verify today if their games are registering?
Pretty much no games registered and no stats either. My bro was the only one whose game recorded, but only for him, and not the dude he played against.
Our settings are as follows...
18 Teams
Default Rosters (no custom)
Simulation Sliders or playstyle
8 Teams in Playoffs
Best of 3
Best of 3
Best of 3
That sums it up. I know I am preaching to the quire here, but this game sucks. There's no other way to put it. How you can create a game with the same, if not worse, problems as last year is beyond me.
I appreciate you responding back. I can at least tell the league I talked to someone with a brain for once lol.
I really hope this gets figured out soon. There's no reason why we should be ignored. Ronnie2K is an idiot IMO. I'm getting sick of his tweets about how awesome the game is and him retweeting peoples nice comments about it, but when it comes to us, he and the rest of the 2k community don't give two "you know whats." I guess as long as he is stealing our money, he has no worries.Comment

Re: Online leagues 2k15, The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
I'm a great fan of reading this post and amedawg00, you're just nailing it in the best medium way as it can be on both side and i do hope this thread will make some changes happen for this year not next year. Some of the things listed can't be waited for another year we should have it this year so thank you and thank you to all other Online League Heads for making this thread as civilized and mindfull as it can get.
I don't know if it's mentioned before but i do have an idea for not having FA in the league goes, you may add 2 additional teams to your league with some other users you control and make their rosters full of FA's or left out team players and then you set your league and define your FA rule for the coaches and when that time comes you make the rightful trade according to your setup FA rule.Comment

Re: Online leagues 2k15, The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
Once they incorporate VC into Online League/Association, then it will matter. I'd hate it but it would be worth it if they actually devoted time to the mode.
You are preaching to the choir my man. We all want Myleague online yesterday. My point is the mode is on life support and we are trying our best to save it from extinction. Meanwhile, you are content to let it die in favor of a Myleague online that may or may not come in the future. We can only deal with the world as it is, not as it should be.

With Ronnie2ks announcement that online modes are now stabilized, we are testing again on xb1.

Re: Online leagues 2k15, The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
This is a major concern. You really need 30 people to get all 30 teams involved! You should be able to just run good league with 6-7 users and cpu controlled teams. I honestly believe 2k will fix this before the end of the year. I am just dumbfounded on how they can just let this one slip by them. No cpu controlled teams?!?!? They wouldn't be so cruel to just leave the mode this way until the next version.Follow Me on Twitter

Re: Online leagues 2k15, The Good, The Bad, The Ugly
well, needless to say, it doesn't look like they're fixing OA. I have screenshots on my iPad, but I don't know how to put them in this post.
Last night at 12:35 am est, both Chris's Manning and Ronnie 2K tweeted that everyone was getting kicked off at 1am last night for an update. During this update, Ronnie 2k said the ONLY problems left to fix for the year are MYPlayer and the bonus Kevin Durant garbage you get you pre ordering the game.
They obviously don't give two ****s about OA.
I've had enough of this and I will be returning 2K back to gamestop, so I can at least get $50 back for the stupid game.
I hope this sheds some light on how ******** this game is. I will never support these dbags again.Comment

I'm so frustrated right now. I only play this game for online leagues. I don't even want to play anything else against a cpu. This game it's totally ruined.
"hey guys, let's play a league where nothing counts."
God, 2k are such genius'.Comment

I feel you, bro.
There are so many people playing this game mainly because of the online leagues. It is amazing that they do not know, outrageous if they know but do not care.
It is not like this is a new mode without a vast group of followers, it has been functioning over 6-7 years...http://www.anba2k.com/ - League for 30 spanish simheads
