Most of the people won't even recognize the dedication behind all these, even guys from 2k won't understand this dedication i'm sure of, if they would have; they could have at least fixed games not registering, standings not sorting and so on by now. Yet we've had nothing.

So a very big props to OL heads whose dedication is beyond of all community here. Great job with whoever helped you on the process. Thank you 2k for making us believe in ourselves to turn impossible to possible!

This project was done with the help of my admins, but the vision and and ideas came from the community through this epic thread. Even our rookie draft class was created and ported into the 2k rosters by vtrcb, an OS roster guru. I again want to emphasize how brutal and tedious the progression and regression edits were to complete. Below is the spreadsheet we set up for all 30 teams in our league with their 13 man roster and their player attributes. The blue edits represent the offseason camp progression. Once we set up this sheet, it made the process more efficient, predictable, and repeatable.

In All, it took us about 3 weeks to complete all phases of the offseason, but that has made season 2 for our members so much more appreciated, with all owners fully engaged knowing that they are building franchises instead of playing in unsatisfactory one off seasons in the typical OL format that 2k wants to shove down our throats. We rebelled and refused to settle and now we have achieved the impossible, an OA that even 2k did not imagine would be possible with the broken leagues that they released. :o

The problem is the custom roster feature doesn't always work. I put a ton of work into getting a league off the ground and because my roster can't be downloaded our league can't get started.

I feel your pain brother. Our offseason nearly fell victim to the custom roster glitch of "unable to retrieve contents" error. We had to rename the file several times, and it got to the point where only 3 people out of 30 in the lg could access the file on 2kshare without getting that error. So instead of us being able to pass the roster around for each member to do their own playbooks, I and 2 other admins had to do not only the progression edits, but also each teams playbooks since other members could not access the roster file due to the glitch below. But with how much time we had invested, giving up was not an option and we overcame the glitches and obstacles that 2k threw at us. :o

On the local save...try to edit it and rename it to a different file name. Then reupload to 2kshare and try to access it after. Its all trial and error and is very frustrating glitch.

This makes sense to me. However, it doesn't seem to be working.
Would you care to elaborate on what your file name was; and what you changed it to?
Were you able to create a league?

Nevermind. I see you were one of the lucky ones who was actually able to create a league without the "Upload Failed" error.

Any advice on that front?

So there is no known fix currently for this custom roster error? And as per usual 2K ignore it because it doesn't involve VC or them making money off it, what a joke this year's game has been for online league players

Honestly..it's a glitch..there is no rhyme or reason to it happening to some and not others. the rename of the file and re-upload to 2kshare has worked for me but not for others. Isn't beds the roster dev for 2k?..maybe he can comment on this crippling glitch that makes the online leagues utterly useless. The custom roster feature is the only redeeming quality of leagues...from allowing legends leagues to custom plays to OAs with progression.

Beds or any 2k dev...please comment on the glitch below.

It's not just an online league glitch. It effects custom rosters in general. I haven't even tried to import my roster into a league because I get that error after uploading it and trying to edit the uploaded roster.

This has become inexcusable. I mean, you simply CAN'T create a new online league at this point. You get "Upload Failed" whether you use custom rosters or not.
2 WEEKS I've been trying, and it hasn't worked once.

The game's other modes are fantastic. I understand chasing the dollar is the way of business, and VC makes them money. However, the complete shoulder-shrug approach to an entire mode in this game is the sign of a company satisfied with 95%. For all of their flaws, at least EA addresses issues or let's you know they're aware of a problem.

To sit here for 2 weeks asking for help from 2K Support, Ronnie, LD2K, etc... And then be met with "NEW RUBY MYTEAM CARDS" every day is just a slap in the face.

Just be honest. Will this be fixed or not? Don't remain silent and keep me strung along. Admit there's an issue, and let us know what is being done.

That's the advice vtrcb gave for the roster glitch. Try it out. I really feel your frustration. Also try creating a profile gt with an email address and password and use that profile ft to try to create the lg or access your roster. Let me know if that work around works for you.

I too was suffering from the custom roster load error.
I just had 3 straight successful loads and custom roster league starts. FINALLY!

I may have found a decent formula. I will test it to exhaustion tonight before I get everyone too worked up. I have created and edited players active in the rosters (All Time Teams for Bulls, Lakers, Celts and Rockets) as well. So far, so good.
Strangely enough, the roster information is incorrect as it shows over 3000 downloads and 30+ updates, even though I JUST created it this evening. I found that I needed to keep overwriting this same file for it not give me the error.

Note: I started with a base roster with tons of created players. I can't remember the original roster/user. Some of the ratings are way off and many players were not available to use. (Yao, Sampson, etc.) I just tweaked hundreds of attributes and moved players around to flesh out the teams. Pao on the Bulls? LOL, only seemed fair since the Lakers are STACKED in the front court.

That's great news. Glad your roster is no longer glitched. Looks like you put in mad work too on the legends/current player roster. Interesting concept to say the least. Make sure to report your findings after more testing. Guess we have to practically do 2ks job for them smh.
