Re: ***Official NBA 2K15 Impressions Thread***
Just played against some one online who was using the Cavs. I'll let you guess who they mainly was using.
After a couple of buckets from that player and being down by 5, I decided to use to new defensive assaignments. Ended up coming back and wining by 10.
Oh yea and this guy kept trying to charge cheese but this ain't 2k14 baby *chris smoove voice* I just kept breezing right by him.Comment

Re: ***Official NBA 2K15 Impressions Thread***
After playing 6 or 7 games I'm not really feeling it. Just feels to fast and loose to me. The last game I played was against Portland and they posted up Aldridge maybe twice(only 6 minute quarters though) but about every other play they had Wes Matthews doing about 5 dribble moves two feet from the paint then attempting a layup. I had to check to make sure I didn't buy And1-2k15 by mistake.
I also messed around with MyCareer a little. I created a Power Forward but I kept getting stuck in the paint in a post up animation(not trying to post up, just crossing the paint) and getting 3 in the key.
I'm gonna mess around with some of the sliders to try and fix some of the problems but I might be going back to playing Destiny soon.Comment

Re: ***Official NBA 2K15 Impressions Thread***
I'm creating a player and the shots are weird. The shooting form is fine, but when you go into shot base, literally every single one is the exact same and it changes your form to some set generic. Fadeaways are just showing the shot base forms, not Fadeaways. It's weird. Idk what hey would've changed this at all from last year and the year before. Maybe it's a bug, idk.NBA
Charlotte HORNETS
NFL
Carolina Panthers
College
Carolina Tar Heels
Won't change until:
1) Hornets win a playoff game
2) Panthers win a Super Bowl
3) Tar Heels win another championship (Completed: 4/3/2017)

Beverly chucking and the Rockets sucking makes me happy too. Lol.
Quick impressions from Spurs/Heat demo:
Gameplay feels very, very solid. It feels very similar to 2K14, but yet different in some way nearly everywhere, almost entirely for the better.
I am getting destroyed on Superstar Sim (partly because I'm screwing around) but I'm not feeling especially cheesed by the CPU. Both my teammates and the CPU seem to run intelligent plays. When they beat their man, it seems legit. Thanks Czar.
Defense by the computer seems good, but there's plenty of penetration. Defensive controls also feel much better-- mistakes kill, but I feel like I can still maintain realistic control. Getting beat and recovering looks quite realistic.
Animations are much smoother. Everything feels more polished and believable. So many little new animations that look legit without feeling overacted. Parker's floater looked fantastic-- and when he missed one, I was like he should have made it-- to which Parker immediately punched his fist in frustration. Wow.
Passing seemed unimpressive. Lots of floaty passes, but sometimes the ball does get a bit more zip. The manual lob is lovely though. Sooo much better being able to dump it manually to Timmy, and not have to hope the right pass gets made.
Two large minuses in my book-- the walk up dribble is a much worse implementation than 2K14. THE 2012 HUNCHBACK WALK IS BACK. Whyyy 2K? 2k14's walk felt really good and brought so much swag-- I walk up all the time when trying to control pace. The one saving grace is that a real standing walk animation plays once in awhile with the play-calling animations. But then the player returns to the hunchback. Not as nearly as nice as 2K14, and I'm not sure what the advantage of the change was.
Also the lighting feels dark as others have mentioned. While the players look a bit more realistic skin tone wise, it seems that the entire game lost a fair amount of contrast. There are hardly any real blacks in the game, and the bright highlights of wet and oily skin have also been largely reduced. It's really apparent in the Heat/Spurs game as both teams are white or black. It's going to bug me all year that a few tweaks to the high and low end would really have made the game look more dynamic, realistic, and like an HD broadcast. It still looks better in many ways then last year, but the added realism just makes you want to turn up the lighting to their proper levels.Last edited by Sundown; 10-07-2014, 02:40 PM.Comment

Don't know what's happened to 2k and the quality of their products, but this is pretty sad to see. The sim community's golden child has turned into the old EA Sports. No leaderboards, no records on display, and whatever happened to their player feedback system which was a great feature... Now input lag and buggy online modes. No thanks.Fulham FC...Showin' em love.

Game is looking really good, it got better gameplay wise. 2k devs even corrected the body model of some players like Melo,
Chalmers, CP3, etc...but it appears that the body model of Lebron James got thinner/skinnier arms
I hope that 2k devs would fix this issue, thanks!Comment

Passing is like night and day compared to 2k14. Those lazy passes are gone and you can really zip the ball around. However, if you make a bad pass the CPU will take advantage of that. The CPU really moves it around too. It's nice too see.
On a similar note, I noticed that defensive players now look to knock potential Alley Oops away. If I recall correctly, last year the only thing that really stopped an AO was a poor pass. This year they will bat it away and you AI players aren't brain dead over loose ball like last year, they're much more aggressive.
Lastly, I'm loving the way steals are this year. The days of swiping multiple steals away from ball handlers are gone. Your best chance for a steal is to knock it away while your opponent is about to pass or deflect it while it's in the air. That's how it is in real life and now that's how it is in the game. I love it.Whooooo.

Re: ***Official NBA 2K15 Impressions Thread***
Online is the same as last year maybe even worse. So many ridiculous shots fallen it's so arcadey. I thought the shot meter along with shot fatigue would give me some flashbacks of 2k11. That is not the case.
This game has to be on all star online. You have bigs like dalemart for the Knicks finishing around the rim at a high rate. Mostly every big makes layups with ease. Just a couple days ago a few were complaining about missing too many layups. I don't see it at all.
I give up.
