I am in desperate need of playing defense. Please, any other solutions besides what is being said here? Can sliders fix anything? By far the worse defensive game on a console I've ever come across. I get burned all the time. It's almost pointless to play defense.

Re: Defensive Help, Tips
I don't want to sound like a Debbie downer but it's not just defense. It's also breaking through screens and getting to your position spot. It's really hard because there's too much traffic in the game. Honestly, the game must be played on good sliders in order to achieve balance. I just can't seem to move around without getting bumped out of position. IDK, maybe slower speed? What do you guys have speed set to?Comment

Re: Defensive Help, Tips
Anybody have any tips for stopping midrange jumpers?
I'm at a loss.....these shots are clearly pre-determined to go in...i mean look at the defense the CPU is making shots on....this is ridiculous
and here is just another example of bad ball physics that results in another 2 points for CPU

Re: Defensive Help, Tips
These are some good tips guys I can't wait to try them out, because I easily have the worst defensive team in the history of video games. I wrote in another thread, I really don't mind KD or Westbrook making a few contested shots, but when KD is missing wide open looks but making the contested ones, and Kendrick Perkins is making contested pull up jumpers it has me ready to give up on this game.
Oh and I second the guy who said this community is great. Thanks a lot guys.Comment

Re: Defensive Help, Tips
Use the defensive settings. I've found that a combination of going over the screen and hard hedge is usually effective against the pick n roll. If it's somebody like Rondo or Rubio, then go under the screen.
Oh yeah, and use Kayotic's sliders http://www.operationsports.com/forum...-settings.html
You won't see quite as many contested shots going in with those sliders, although it will still happen sometimes. But guess what, professional basketball players making tough shots isn't THAT rare.Comment

Re: Defensive Help, Tips
Pretty much every team forces to baseline on regular help defense, but the Bulls use "ICE" which is more of a pick and roll defense. Some teams trap, some switch, some hedge, some go under and dare them to shoot over the screen. There are a lot of options to defend the PnR.Comment
