Re: Playing NBA 2K15 vs. the CPU

I play on allstar and with sliders and I love it.
I still can see when the CPU is making a run: good players miss easy layups, rebounds, and my player doesn't respond to my buttons.

I also notice the CPU will move my player out of great position when I pass it even if I don't do directional passes.

When avg or below avg players begin to hit jumpers and contested layups on good defenders.
When Anthony Davis, Z-Bo, M-Gasol, or other good paint scorers can't may a easy shot especially against a much smaller defender.

The last 4 games I played my PG starts passing the ball off the defenders for turnovers and it only happens when the CPU is making their run.
    True bout my business, Mane!

Ummm...its better than last year, but they still got work to do, to make this the ultimate NBA sim.

The sliders handle the mean. Attributes handle deviation. That should be pretty obvious. The ultimate basketball sim is one that would do pretty much the same thing. The talent range in the NBA isn't as wide as some of you "experts" make it out to be. Just saying.

This is by far the best AI out of the box for 2K and it is not even close. They have the CPU dialed on a level I have never seen before. The dev team put in some serious work. I don't see a need to change any slider.

I just realized that I've been playing my season on Superstar...I checked because I essentially blew the first 5-6 teams I played out (including the Cavs, Thunder)

Did something get nerfed on Superstar level? I haven't touched this level since close to release..

As ive said before nba 2k15 is the best 2k game ever for offline players since nba 2k11

Im having blast with whenever i play the game, all star difficulty is great for me, i dont have to 'cheese' the cpu just basically running my offense, and i can win games and lose games as well, cpu doesnt plays pretty damn good also, no paint jumpshot cheese, they drive and kick etc...

I agree with this post, NBA 2K15 is the best out of the box. The Simulation sliders do it. I am having a blast. 2K12, 2K13, and 2K14 I always had to adjust the sliders to compensate for the arcade-style scoring 125-120. 2K15 is basketball. I love everything about it vs the CPU. We just need to see more hook shots in the paint, but I am sure the patch will tweak it.

Other than that, an A in my book.

Re: Playing NBA 2K15 vs. the CPU

Knocked it out of the park this year. I have limited time to play. When I do, its offline and the CPU AI is really phenomenal. This part of the game is overlooked immensely. So many people play the CPU and just imagine how better their experience is this year....

Re: Playing NBA 2K15 vs. the CPU

I still got the cheating AI problem on All-Star. During the season it was fine, but in the playoffs its just ridiculous.
As soon as I'm up by 7-8 points not even open layups are falling anymore whereas 5'10" Pointguards drive through my 2-3 of my players, taking contact and making 80% of their shots.
It's so frustrating because I feel during the season the game was perfect and my sliders where the perfect match to my skill. I dont know why they implement such bull**** magic 2nd half ai skills...

Have you tried the game post patch on default/simulation sliders against the CPU? Maybe the sliders you use are causing the results.

I've seen what you are seeing Born but a balance this year that compliments the user as well. I've had the opportunity to go on runs and feel as if EVERYTHING goes my way. And I love that. It seems fair.

I almost lost hope until the greatest roster maker albys on PC released his roster.

Majority of the fixable issues have been addressed. Game is night and day compared to 2k rosters.

This game is different when someone actually adjust tendencies and have a overall formula.

Does anyone know which Slider I have to adjust to fix the CPU's Pass interceptions? Steals, Def. Awareness, Pass Acc. ? So far I've had no luck...

I love the game but passing is just sooo annoying and unfair when you play against the CPU. They throw passes through 3-4 of my players and everytime I try to play the most simple pass into the paint with an elite PG like CP3 its an adventure and a 50% chance for a turnover. Gets so annoying. Playing with teams that depend on shooting its fine but if you take a team that needs to get to the rim or post up a lot it's just ****ed up...

I have played MyCareer mode exclusively so I can not comment on the other modes, but the AI in MyCareer still blatantly cheats. I mean I could understand if I were playing on Superstar or Hall of fame, but I am playing on Allstar to attempt to avoid the expected cheating AI in the higher difficulty modes, in order to make the games more realistic. The computer will still make shots while being heavily draped by a defender, shots that if you or one of your teammates attempted the same shot, would not go in 90% of the time. The opponent AI constantly gets offensive rebounds, and apparently they only get them while your player is actually subbed in the game. The AI still attempts to block every shot, no matter how good or bad they actually are at blocking shots, i've been blocked by Steve Nash on my 6'8 SF. The AI on offense will cut to the basket and score on you before you can even react to it, even when you are guarding big slow guys. Don't get me started on your teammate AI. My teammates will miss wide open shots and layups, and let the ball bounce off of their hands on rebounds and lose balls. Compare this to how the AI will make just about every open shot, no matter who is shooting it. I'm not saying that the AI is unbeatable, but I don't like having to score 30+ points every single game in order to win by a few points against a below average team. I just wish they would actually improve the AI, instead of just artificially making the game more difficult by having the opposing AI "cheat" and have your teammate AI play like incompetent buffoons.

Edit: Also the Cpu AI is much quicker to react and recover compared to you and your AI. I can strip or block and opponent and they instantly get the ball back, if I get blocked or striped there is a delayed reaction to the ball.
                                Well said.
It runs well for the most part, but there are these unbelievable moments that make no damn sense.
