I recently created a thread called "Player Personality Fixes" addressing LeBron James leaving for places like Utah and my brother and I think we have a fix.

Implement a location based interest system, so that places like NY and LA will easily beat out a Utah or Milwaukee. Or certain players may wanna go home, so KD to Washington is more likely or something of that nature.

I also believe Free Agency should be more challenging in the next version of the game. Id love to hear some more MyGM suggestions if anyone would wish to reply rather than searching through these multiple pages.

Connected "OurLeague" feature complete with CPU teams and multiple playable years is my BIGGEST wish.

Well, let's see if they can make Online Leagues even work first. baby steps

The post I'm about to make is a really important post. I just really really hope this thread is read and studied. Because I'm on the fence. I love and hate a lot of things about NBA 2k and I also love a lot of things about NBA Live. Those who completely scoff and ride NBA Live off are just 2k elitists to me who don't even want to give it a chance. Both games have great things and I think they should learn from each other.

Here's what I think 2K needs to change in 2K16:

1: Crowd Atmosphere.

2K is EXTREMELY stale when it comes to the crowd. Again. Please watch even two minutes of NBA Live footage and you will see what I mean. NBA Live 15 did a great job at least with having the crowd come to life. This is a HUGE HUGE deal. All I hear is the same commentary lines I've heard fifty times, players just moving generically with no crowd noise (unless it's the 4th or playoffs). It's really unrealistic because many arenas do definitely get going, especially with claps, chants, and other things.

2: Player Movement.

Defensive movement:

This is another huge issue. I mean. This is NBA 2K15 ON XBOX ONE AND PS4. This is not a ps1. Yet defensive movement is absolutely inexcusable. Even offline, staying in front of your man is such a huge task and seems downright impossible. I get scored on left and right because I can't guard my man. I'm light with the turbo and I'm very careful, but this is a MAJOR problem.

General Movement:

Again, this is a great thing to check out NBA Live on. I'm not saying players should move like NBA Live. In fact, NBA Live 15 has stiff animations. But there is a FREEDOM of movement. You feel completely in control. In 2K even on offense you feel like your not in full control of your player due to how animation driven the game is, I think the players should move a little more freely.

3: Server issues

It's absolutely inexcusable that this is a big issue two years in a row. It is definitely better than last year. I don't get a ton of lag online, but when your defensive movement is already so horrible offline it's impossible to guard on the ball online. The few that can manage to do it probably put millions of hours into this game a year. I put a ton into it, but I cannot stay in front of anyone. I just played in the park and of course, everyone was making shots. This was not due to the patch like most people claimed, it was actually due to lag. Defensive movement is terrible and the lag makes it even harder to guard people, so of course these 99 rated guys will drill shots or get easy dunks.

4: IMPORTANT: MAKE SLIDER CHANGES SIMILAR TO ROSTER UPDATES

I think you should build it into the game, similar to roster updates, to be able to update sliders for 2K on a regular basis. I think this is a NO BRAINER. If gameplay gets unbalanced online, on myteam, or any mode, you could just update the sliders similar to how you would update a roster, and you could have it effect all modes. I'm sure this requires a patch at this point. Adding this feature in would remove the need for patches in this regard, and help satisfy the community more.



5: Glitches

Right now this game is definitely full of glitches. Regression is finally fixed but several threads show the amount of glitches in game. Tidying these things up and having a clean game at launch would be great.

6: Gameplay changes

Allow stealing in the perimeter. Currently it is IMPOSSIBLE TO STEAL from a point guard. Make it possible. If people allow the ball to get stolen it's their fault. At the same time add animations or ways to protect the ball as well to make it more realistic, but at least give someone a shot, especially when the ball is dangled in front of their face.



Make passing more precise, and make passes less floaty. This has always been a big issue.

Another big issue: Green releases. Don't listen to everyone else. I play with the Sacramento Kings and I find it impossible to get green releases, even post patch. I really only get 1-3 a game max. Normally only 1.

Personally I think some shots are easier to get green releases on than others. I think they should be evened out again.


Don't be afraid to make significant changes either. I for one don't want to buy the same game I would every year. Significant changes to graphics, how players move, and gameplay, is a good thing in my opinion. But no need for more modes! Don't add 10 more modes to excite people and then release a ton of glitchy modes. Just work on what you have!!

And don't sacrifice quality for significant change in an area. We don't want to have a need for 6 patches.

I would love to see them add D-league back into the game so you can develop younger payers, with full d-league schedule....Kyrie Irving neds his own Layup package....More specfic dribble packages and postues for players. Year to Year saves (the code has been broken, MLB the show can do it why cant we) On average how many seasons does someone play in mycareer? Make games on different networks (even if they are generic networks) Different broadcast teams for national TV games and regular games, or at least just change voices, different body types (come on 2k), fix the ceiling for sim stats (blocks per game maxing at 2.1 mostly, take the max off), Players can take Euroleague offers...Euroleague season, Stash drafted players in euro league, More sneakers always, Teams need to play more like themselves, Correct roster rotations, smarter AI (our myplayer should not still play 40 mins in a blow out),

Separate gameplay patches for online and offline if possible. A consistent gameplay experience, that does not arbitrarily change under the hood with undisclosed 'tuning', ie: phantom patches. This is my primary complaint about this game over the last 2 years.

faster and better execution in offball movements during the execution of plays; better, more dynamic and easier to execute team systems; better offscreens and p&r - the bounce and lob passes should be more effective (but not an exploit ) if a p&p (p&fmd or p&f3pt ) is executed -. With da_czar working in this area I expect great improvements.
More contact in defense; less sliding; big players should be slower; in 1v1 in human vs human the offense shouldn't have the actual advantage as it has now in the game - if it is not a missmatch of course -; walking backwards to the 3pt line shouldn't be as effective as it is now; and changing direction without using isomotion should be taken away.
If a player changes from individual defense to zone during the execution of a play, the offensive players should read it and take advantage of it. In general, the offense players should read better the defense. For example, when the defense rotate in the p&r the offensive center shouldn't stay in the 3pt line even if the play is designed that way.

Please bring back the differing playstyles. And speed, quickness, ball handling and ball security should increase or decrease based on the height and weight of the player. The taller and heavier they are, the bigger the drop offs.

I think they desperately need 21 in the park. I still don't understand why that was never implemented. It'd be awesome to play against 3-7 guys 1 on 1.

No. Speed and quickness is not only constrained by size. Anthony Davis is faster than many guards. Blake Griffin is also very fast. There are speedy big men. The way its done now is accurate.

That's where the differing playstyles come into play. If you want to be fast like that, pick the Athletic style, but be prepared to have some drawbacks. Unless you want to repeat the cluster**** that was this year's game with big men who can keep step with guards, while having Iverson handles and can shoot like Curry.

Btw, 1 v 1 would be the single biggest cheese fest court ever. "Let me just turbo around until I get free and dunk, or left-right until I'm free, because nobody is there to pick up on me."

Better, upgrade, improve. What do these mean exactly? The whole purpose of something like this is to give instruction as to what are wrong with thing right now. There's no guarantee 2K are gonna see and read this but if they did they'd be wondering how they can change things with improper feedback.
