Tips To Get a Good Face Scan

I found IpodKingCarter's video kind of useless since he used equipments that are out of reach for some people. Ronnie2K's instructions were alright, but not enough.

What's the best way to get a Face Scan with Average to Great quality?

Post your tips, including how many reference points you had and picture(optional).

I kept getting 2,500-3,100 reference points which is an average face scan. I had two friends light my face up with there iPhone flashlights from my left and right side and held my PlayStation camera eye level.

Honestly I get above average scans every time using nothing but natural outdoor light with the camera eye level. The hard part is finding an area with that

It's all about natural light, if you can do this in a living room with some nice lighting, go in there and do it during the day. My man-cave is set up in my basement, where absolutely no natural light can come in and I was getting (at best) with multiple lamps and ceiling light 4k reference points.

Two days later I took my 32" computer monitor, my PS4 and my camera upstairs, opened up my big bay window, set up my PS4 with my camera directly in front of the bay window (with the light shining in behind the camera) and re-scanned my face. Got 11k reference points.

      Go to the light

That's a great tip. I'm in a similar situation as you though, I live in an apartment where there is not that much natural light coming in, so it's difficult for me. I will give it a try though.
