    "Change the sliders"

Say people who don't play online ranked, myplayer (park/rec/stage), myteam, ect.

Do people saying change the sliders not realize 50%+ of the game is in a setting that you can't change the sliders on?

Honestly, as ive gotten more used to the game, its becoming less of a problem.

I still believe it happens too frequently..in an effort to discourage paint spammers... but Ive become super conscious to how im angling the RS in traffic..Im getting makes and some contact fouls, where I was getting frustrated by misses, before.

It's user error. I play HOF and I know where my errors lie.

I've figured out why I was initially missing so many contact and open driving layups and it had to do with where I was releasing the stick and my controller settings. On driving layups I release after 2 steps and point the stick in the direction where the defender isn't and I make a high percentage of layups now. Also since I play on broadcast angle I changed my stick to absolute so I know up means toward the basket etc.

I still haven't figured out the release point on standing layups though. If anyone can help me with that I would be very grateful.

EDIT: Actually I think I got the Standing Layup. I was pushing shot stick towards the basket and missing everything. Now for putbacks I'm pushing shotstick back away from the basket and making a MUCH higher percentage of Standing layups and putbacks.

Best tip ever, I'm making more standing layups & put backs doing this also. Good to see my center go 6-10 than 1-10 in the paint now.

And for people who don't use the shot-stick? I've hated that feature since its incorporation

Wondering about this as well. Whenever I get an offensive rebound I miss the putback at least 90% of the time. It's so horrid that now I tend to just kick it back out because I'd rather not go through a silly sequence where I get another 3 or 4 offensive rebounds without making a shot. I sometimes use the stick but not always, so I guess I'll test the technique of pulling away from the basket instead of pushing it up or towards the basket.

Going for the dunk and having the ball get caught on the rim or an opposing player's hand while it's in the cylinder and pop out is frustrating as well. This seems to be a physics-based problem with the engine, though.

Layups in this game truly are trash, open shots in general suck. I get tired of watching my guys blow easy layup after easy layup or easy 7' jumpers in MC. Then the other team comes down and hits ridiculous turnaround jumpers, fadeaways, contested shots etc. This "user error" mess is crap.

On pro the game plays amazing and this is not an issue. I noticed has soon has I tired all star guys where missing way more easy layups and more wide open jump shoots so I think this only because an issue when you play at all star or higher so that is one of the big reasons I play on pro and even on pro the CPU is really good maybe even a little to good or I just suck lol.

If you have 2k14 and go back and play it you will see the difference is like night and day. Why they thought it was cool to guys repeatedly miss 3 layups in a row under the basket as a feature in the game is beyond me.

                      I spent a year playing neglected and non-patched 2k14 on PS3 before I got my PS4 and 2k15.

So-called "sim" players whining and crying about "cheese" and abuse of layups probably.

some lay ups shouldn't be missed.. and I hate that lay up animation that you be wide open and idk its like a floater type or something but I can be wide and no one around and he miss the lay up.

If, IF, one of my guys is fortunate enough to get out on the break in MC, I sit there hoping that animation doesn't trigger because I know it's a miss 90% of the time. Meanwhile, the CPU puts up that shot with anyone and it's money.
