Re: Better Sim experience? MyLEAGUE or My GM

Played MyGM in 2k14 a lot and really enjoyed it, developed the young raptors team into a real force in the 3rd year after getting great rookies. Interactioms with players during free agency and motivating the squad was really cool BUT...

2K15 MyLeague is amazing. A great sim experience which gives you the options to make the league how you may like. Hundreds of trades or none, talented draft class or awful one, scouting system, training players, chemistry awereness, you have a lot of options, which i prefer.

I pickes the bulls and something funny happened
1st game 1st season derrick rose had 31pts and ironically torn his MCL. In the season opener. 3rd time.
that made me adapt my team and forced me to trade for some good PG's and having to rely my offense on the bigs and the 3's.

After missing the playoffs, it was time to make some moves, after all, bulls want to win it all now, had to but big boy pants on.

Got Oubre Jr and Quinn Cook through the draft adding solid fire power to the team, building high hopes for season 2 BUT...

ironically enough, in the 4th game of the season, DRose tears his MCL for the 4th TIME!! (EVEN AFTER PUTTING ALL KNEE PADS AVAILABLE ON HIS KNEES LOL! )

so basically im having a blast, having to make big decisions and making a plan for the future of the team instead of playing to win it all now. Love the trades and all the scouting, really was waiting for a BIG change in The Association mode since forever i guess (at least 2k10), and we finally got it.

We could go back and forth all day about which mode is better, but how freaking awesome is it that this game even has both modes to cater to both types of players? I mean please for the love of god if anyone from EA stumbles across this thread, put an old school franchise mode back into Madden to go along with the Connected Careers mode and give us the best of both worlds.

That being said I had a questiong about the edited draft classes. Can you upload those into MyLeague mode as well as MyGM? Because that will be a game changer for myself, I just picked up the game last night and have yet to try out either mode.

Also I'm well aware there is a MyGM and MyLEAGUE separate threads ,but I figured that wasn't really the place to ask for a comparison of the modes.

I'm running with the Bulls and I had the same injury to Rose early on, too. I finally just edited both knees to like 72 durability after restarting. Now he has a pinched nerve in his back for 4-6 weeks! Lol, but he's able to play though so I ain't too upset. I just have to manage his minutes carefully. I love this aspect of the game. MyLeague is where it's at!

All I wanna know is do players develop in my league the same way they do in mygm? Will they earn badges and what not?

              MyLeague is where its at.

All MyGm has extra is the financial management and conversations.

Both of which I do not really care about.

I have Nik Stauskas im my Bucks MyLeague in year 2 and he has stayed hurt my whole season pretty much...

He broke his leg in game 3 and missed about 15 games (29 game season). I had him back for 6 games and in the 2nd half of that 6th game...boom, broken knee cap!!! So with 5 games left and my final push for the playoffs (15-9 record) he's out again but for the rest of the season this time. He put up some serious numbers during his 9 games though including a career game just after he came back from the broken leg where he scored 31 pts with 8/9 from 3 pt on 6 min quarters. He's deadly from 3 pt with a rating of 96 standing 3 pt...crazy

They develop but I'm not 100% about the badges. You can view their badges but I've never been notified of any change or noticed a change

I looked at the badges last night and couldn't see that they earn them but you can edit the rosters and add badges to players.

If MyGM had CPU vs Cpu then I would go with that. I like the idea of building a team and watching them go to work. So MyLeague it is.

MyGM is very annoying at times. I tried to do a GM with the Lakers and the first thing I'm told is to "Make sure Randle plays at least 23 minutes a game" and "make sure we make the playoffs".

First of all, how the hell am I going to play Randle 23 minutes a game when he's ineligible to play because he's out for the season. Second, lol at the Lakers making the playoffs, especially with the roster.

                            MyLeague all the way.

I love being able to "veto" a ridiculous CPU/CPU trade. Wouldn't you be upset if the Cavs traded LeBron to Sacramento? I can veto that trade and it never happened. Other then ridiculous trades like LeBron going to the Kings I don't veto any trades. I let the CPU do their own thing for the most part. But having the veto power rather versus just dealing with superstars playing in on horrible teams is worth it, to me.

I veto so many trades its ridiculous lol. Some of the trades I do let happen. Usually minor trades. Now I need to figure out free agency. Certain players keep signing to teams (while leaving teams) I don't think they would.

Ill have to go back and fix some player loyalty ratings

I wanna do a myleague and control all 30 teams, just so I can switch teams if I want. But will this negate CPU-CPU trades since there's technically no CPU controlled teams?
