I agree that I don't like it in my career, and creates a little balance issues in park...but as always the better player will win 9 times out of 10. My 70 overall center was killing star centers in the rec center last night.

I feel like this year they took a step forward; you can't get attribute upgrades or badges unless you play my career...
I don't wanna be Jordan, I don't wanna be Bird or Isiah, I don't wanna be any of those guys.
I want to look in the mirror and say I did it my way.

I don't mind VC...I usually only drop $20 on whatever amount that is and spread it evenly through all the game modes and just go from there. It gets me a little start in MyCareer, and MyGM which is cool.

The one thing I can complain about is the fact that you have to use VC to buy accessories. I mean, why can't I just crate my player with tattoos, or a headband for free. The idea of having to buy attribute boosting accessories is ok, but for basic things like headbands and shooting sleeves, it shouldn't cost VC, and much less 1000+ VC

Think of it like this. That is like in GTA when you have to buy clothes for your character or any other RPG type game. MyCareer is a sports RPG, I am not saying I don't disagree, but I don't find it to be a problem. Maybe if they just offered basic accessories that you can upgrade to the better looking ones or something like that.

How naive. They took a mode that was built in its entirety with the sole focus of creating an enjoyable experience for the player, now, with VC, that mission statement has shifted because of the nature of what VC is. It, like in-app purchases in games like candy crush, are aimed to monetize the experience by way of increasing the difficulty, walling off access to certain things, putting things that were otherwise included in the purchase price behind a paywall, removing certain features entirely(no more sliders huh?) and doing so in such a way that tries to entice users to spend additional money. The direction of the mode is no longer just on the player experience but is now one that tries to balance a monetization method with the core gameplay in a way that will encourage additional money. In no way does it benefit the users.
