To be fair, since everyone cocks the ball back when they dunk in MyPark, it's actually really easy to block them. I'm a 6'0" PG that can barely dunk myself and I average like 2 blocks per game at least.

I love simulation, but every aspect of 2K isn't sim. Understand that. The purpose of having the Jordan Center is for those guys who want to play real basketball. You WON'T find that in the Park lol.
thank you, if you want pick and rolls, teamwork and help D in a mode that rivals NBA street you're going to have a bad time. This is purely supposed to be a streetball type mode.

Squad up with guys you personally know and you can employ fundamentals and teamwork and beat the cheese in the park. We do it all the time. Im not mad when the guys who have posterizer put it on us. I try my best to get in their way. If two guys contest the dunk or one guy attempts to take charge about midway through the paint you can get them to brick the dunk attempt.

For those of you having trouble stopping alleyoops you just have to get in their path to the basket. Boxing out or merely bumping them will cause the oop to go flying over their head.

Don't know what park you play at...but we damn sure take Jump shots. Maybe not as much P&R like you'd see in a gym.

Jordan Rec Center can be accessed no matter what park affiliation you chose. There are 4 quarters, a referee, and it is played inside of the gym. You access it by walking over to the entrance for it while you are in your park.

Re: MyPark What did I just witness...

I've played one game in the park so far, and it was a horrible experience. My Player is only like a 70 overall, and it was ridiculous how underrated I was. I played a 2v2, and attempted to play smart basketball, but it didn't matter. I couldn't even make a single wide open, FT range jumpshot.

The other team didn't even take a single jumper; every possession was drive and dunk. When they would miss, they would immediately grab their own rebound and put it back up.

And whoever thought the make it/take it idea was smart needs a swift kick in the balls. It just adds to the frustration when they run straight through and dunk, then get the ball back and do it again, over and over.

Sounds better but is it actually better or is it the same selfish style of play but on a different court with a ref? Waiting on the patch to check it out, I one of those who hasn't been able to get online at all.

Dunks should still be more interruptible than they are . If anything street ball is more physical and grindin out

As far as Rec center it's too inconsistent servers wise.

I really don't mind any aspect of MyPark other than the lag on defense. It wasn't this bad last year. Its just frustrating because I feel completely useless on defense. What makes it worse is I'm playing as a PF so my movement is slow as is [compared to the guards and SF I always seemed to get matched up against].

In Philly. Nobody takes jumpers (except crazy 3's from people that can't shoot). Even the teenagers try to dunk, although most of the time they can't. That's why there are stars of the Park, and stars in High School, College or the League. Big difference. Now at a suburban park, maybe your right. Jumpshot city lol. All jokes aside though, it's only 3's and dunk/layups at the Park. Nothing else. No transition defense, pick and rolls, cuts to the hoop, boxing out etc..

Sorry if you expected a sim experience at the Park

I hear you....Ya I guess I figured there would be ways to body people to make it atleast HARDER for them to dunk especially if you have a defensive minded player. Even NBA Jam had a block dunks in it.

It depends on your teammates, really. You might get teammates who are buddies with each other and obviously will keep it between them but typically if you do get the ball per chance and prove you can actually contribute, you'll end up with the ball a little more. There is some cheese there and if you have teammates who lack good basketball IQ, you'll end up with turnovers due to it.

It's a lot different than the Park since if you fall behind, you have a chance to actually make a comeback. If you fall behind on the Park, you'd have to play REALLY good defense in order to continually force the other team to continually miss shots. The only drawback to the JRC is that it can be harder to get a game going if you don't have a squad since you need 5 people to join up and play rather than just 3 at the Park. You also can't skip the free throw set up animations so those can make it take a little longer.

Your right Jordan Rec Center is the way to go (although more difficult to get a game).

Just don't go playing in the Park and complain about dunks. Nobody complained about dunks in NBA Jam or NBA Street. And for the record, dunks can be blocked and missed in the Park. Either complain or play defense.

What's wrong with Asking for more contact on the dunks again lol ? People make 7 foot centers for a reason . This isn't NBA Jam or NBA street.

Also the rec center is so buggy I can't finish a game literally it will not let me finish a game . I had a 15 game winning streak in the park but I can't finish a rec game smh .
