Re: NBA 2k15 Beluba Q&A
Will the design team consider making it possible to make some d-pad only gameplay functions available in the game's pause menu, such as POE selection and freelance option selection? What is the logic behind making those things possible only when the game clock is running, when other functions, such as substitutions and match ups, are available during game pauses?
It seems this year that the cameras available during practice scrimmage mode are limited, and don't include common in game player options like broadcast. Was this on purpose, or will the full camera options be patched in? It really diminishes the utility of practice if you're practicing on an unfamiliar camera you won't use in games.Comment

Is there a plan to patch in more fouls? FTAs are way too low.Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Beluba Q&A
This feature was cut because the spacing rules are designed to go a certain way. We plan to look into this control again for 16. We don't currently have a great mechanic for it though, so suggestions are welcome.Comment

I'm working on this right now for the next patch. For now, crank your shooting foul sliders to the max.Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Beluba Q&A
Do you consider the rebound-outletpass-sequence realistic? In my opinion the cpu-rebounder acts almost like a robot finding his teammates upcourt. It should take more time to rebound, look for an open teammate and then pass the ball. Right now, this issue leads to many fast-breaks and early-offense-opportunities.
Would it be possible to tone down the awareness of the cpu in this sequence (and to remove this jump, turn in one motion and fire the ball upcourt-animation)? It should at least take a second to turn, identify the position of the teammates and then trigger a pass. Which would give the defense important time to get back on defense and to pick up an opponent. on the break.Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Beluba Q&A
Two questions.
1) Any chance of changing player behavior on shot blocks? Sometimes I'll block a shot, it'll land in play, and my teammates won't take a step towards it, giving the player who initially shot it time to get it back. I once blocked 3 in a row by the same player at the hoop, but eventually he scored on me (I think it was Chris Bosh).
2) Sometimes my player overreacts toward the ball in odd situations (especially when my teammate is inbounding after an opponent scores). Any chance on getting that toned down?
2) Not quite sure what you're asking here.Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Beluba Q&A
Hey Mike, thanks for doing this Q&A.
First off, great job on the gameplay of the series, I don't think that gets said enough.
Q: There seems to be a disparity between players when they are your AI teammates and when they are your AI opponents. Is there some regulating factor that causes AI teammates to go against their own tendencies like passing up shots or not having their defense be effective?
Q:Is there a speed regulator on superstar and HoF difficulty? It seems harder to beat CPU big men in a full court sprint on these levels, with and without the ball.Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Beluba Q&A
Hi Mike,
Any chance you could bring back player stamina being shown on the quick sub menu (d-pad down) as part of a patch? Unless of course taking it out was an intentional move, which would seem strange since it had been a very important tool all through last gen.
Thank you.Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Beluba Q&A
First off, thanks Mr. Wang for doing this Q&A, it's really appreciated, even if your team can't fix everything--by and large, it's an awesome game, but there are a few things that concern me.
Anyway, why can't my teammates shoot in MyCareer?
Oh, they take shots, yeah, but they so rarely go in. Recently, playing for the Hornets against the Kings, everyone other than my player shot less than 40%. Two guys went 4-for-12, and Kemba Walker went 3-for-20. Then it happened again the next two games. I'm a center, and the only one making shots consistently.
Speaking of centers, something's up with the rebounding. I've taken it upon myself to get all the rebounds I can, but I shouldn't be getting ALL the rebounds...right?
Okay, not all. But for the last three or four games, I've averaged at least 30 rebounds a game. That's not a typo. Thirty. Granted, Al Jefferson was hurt, but this is ridiculous! (Oh, and we still lost all those games, because of said team shooting woes.)
Oh, and another thing: It says under My Minutes that I'm only supposed to play 32 minutes or so a game...yet, more often than not, I play well over 40. One time I played all 48 minutes! Is this supposed to happen?
It should be said that I'm not having most of these problems in MyGM or MyLeague when I player-lock.Comment

Re: NBA 2k15 Beluba Q&A
Hey Beluba,
Does contesting a shot manually drop the percentage of the shot more than letting the CPU contest it?
Also, at what seed in My Team does the difficulty play on Superstar?Lineup:
PG) Gary Payton
SG) '95-'96 Michael Jordan
SF) Sapphire Scottie Pippen
PF) '95-'96 Dennis Rodman
C) Hakeem OlajuwonComment
