    It's still too binary regardless of how it's named. If it was more gradual and was drained by shot difficulty and in turn has more effect depending on difficulty of shot, then it would be a more balanced mechanic.

    I also think it'd be neat if the Closer badge reduced its effects late in game and in OT, and the Volume Shooter badge reduced how much fatigue you gain during the course of the game.

    It also allows insane 81 point games only if you are lucky and have all the right badges.

          It's not noticeable in most reasonable games.

          But it's extremely noticeable if you're shooting at a somewhat high volume and hit multiple OTs. Your stars hit a brick wall and become completely useless. And I do mean completely. It's very jarring and immersion breaking. Meanwhile the CPU is unaffected hitting a second long range contested buzzer beater on shot 38.

          I say this as someone who liked the idea and supported the initial implementation. It's far too simplistic and jarring as is and needs some adjustment.

              Is this feature based on an absolute number of shots for a given player or is it scaled by the length of the quarters? (i'm talking about a regular season game not My Career)

              For example if player X has a fatigue 'setting' of 20 shots per game and I play with 6 minute quarters does he start shooting poorly after 10 shots?

                It's not that people are getting caught up in the name, it's that based on your "new name" you don't understand what's going on. Game fatigue has nothing to do with it. The mechanic only kicks in with shooting. I had a game where I shot 19 shots in the first half. Too much you say? Not when I hit 18 of them. I was hot beyond hot, and just getting great shots, layups, fast breaks and dunks. As soon as a player gets to the arbitrary threshold of "20 shots is kind of a lot" suddenly the shots aren't seen as the same quality. In the next tier of "Man we at 2K think 25 shots should make you tired" A shots become C shots. This is not realistic. My player wasn't "tired" he was "shot tired" the game sees them as two separate things, and it's dumb.

                You must not be playing My Player. This is a mode onto itself. This mechanic makes some sense in a regular mode where the player has complete control over every player, makes sure they take good shots, shoot when they're open, get proper rest, and can make sure they don't focus too much on stars.

                Remember that in My player you get to develop a basketball god. Strong as Shaq, quick as AI, shoot like Bird etc.

                In this mode:

                - Your AI teammates are nerfed, making you have to shoot more.
                - Once you get to a certain level ~ 1/3 + of the plays are designed for you, and there are times when the coach will tell the other guys to get you the ball.
                - You aren't rested properly. I've played entire games, and unless it's a 20+ point blowout I play an entire half in 100% of games played.
                - As said above you're a god. A player with the attributes that My Career allows, and with the stats that are being put up should be shooting a lot.


                Even in regular game modes it's dumb under some circumstances. As was said in OT it can make stars useless. Also while averaging 20+ shots is a lot, stars take 20+ shots all the time. Because this game has a hardline "20+ shots is too many" approach the player runs into a wall in games where shooting that many times makes sense.

                There is no defending the way this is currently handled.

                  Surprising it does not. It is always happening at about 25 shots of a certain player. That bit annoys me even more, in fact.

                    So basically this game is built for 6 min quarters in my mycareer, anything beyond that youre screwed unless you have godly teammates

                      Yeah, there's nothing wrong with shot fatigue. Not to mention it's easy to get around as I've already scored 94 in a game.

                            You pick and roll drive after hitting tons of 3s. LOL. At least that's what I did in my 94 point game on superstar (9 minute Q). Hit like 19 3s then drove the rest of the time on high percentage layups and dunks. Missed some, but still ended up with a ******** 94 points. And I was only a 87 at the time. Sort of wish I hadn't since I like realism. I'm a 6'7 SF, not Wilt 2.0.

                            But that's how to score 94, to get around it you space your points by quarter. Get a lot of assists and boards between shots. You can score about 15-17 a quarter that way, consistently. You'll also consistently get double doubles and even triple doubles that way. And this can be done with a mid to low 80s player. At least, I did when I was at that rating bracket.

                                Oh man.. great news!! I'm tired of having all my shots become a D+ just because I shot more with one player than an arbitrary number that the developers came up with. It's too UNREALISTIC. People who says there's no problem with it are probably not playing 12 minute quarters. Keep in mind, I don't play MyCareer but it is an issue in myleague. In MyLeague , I play the Jazz and I was on fire with Hayward but after taking like 20 shots with him, he totally becomes useless. Might as well bench him.
