Im in my 3rd year still no sneaker deal, why even allow us to simulate games if you have to play every game to get a shoe deal

Better. I can sim through the season. However I'd still like to sim playoffs.

And please, for the love of god just let us sim through the repetitive cut-scenes. I don't mind not simming when we need a response, but when there's scenes when we don't need a response, I would rather just skip them.

In my opinion, biggest things of MyCareer that need fixed:

1. Teammate AI - They miss way too many wide open shots, they play horrid defense both on the perimeter and inside, and they pass the ball way too much instead of taking shots. As a PG it's incredibly frustrating to pass to a wide open man who should be taking the J, but instead he passes to another guy who takes the shot causing me to just get a "pass to assist" which doesn't help my stats at all.

2. Starting lineup logic - If I'm a PG on the Pelicans or the Pistons roster with me being a 69 or 70 OVR I should NOT be put into the starting lineup against PG's like Brandon Jennings and Jrue Holiday who are both clearly in their low to mid 80's in OVR. Who's brilliant idea was this?

3. Too many minutes - 2k my Point Guard is a 70 OVR in his ROOKIE year. Why am I getting 38 minutes a game? More minutes than all the other players. I just signed with the Rockets in my 2nd year and I have more minutes than Dwight Howard.

4. Opening ceremony - Why would I be introduced last in every home game against STAR PLAYERS like Dwight Howard when I'm just in my 2nd year?

5. Sliders - We need to be able to adjust sliders in MyPlayer just like MyGM and MyLeague. We can only set difficulty.

6. Playbook - We can't edit our playbooks in MyPlayer which is understandable because we're only a "player", but atleast give us the ability to change our playcalling assignments. Let me choose which plays I want to run as a PG so I can run the offense which is the PG's job.

And last but not least....

7. League immersion - Give us more information on what's going on in the league please. This ranges from week to week to the post-season to the off-season. I had no idea who won in the finals. I had to actually go look under League History and see that Cleveland beat the Clippers.

Also instead of just simming the offseason, it would be nice to see which players the GM's grab in FA and also let us watch the draft on TV as an optional thing.

This post needs more thumbs up. This literally explains the MyCareer experience. Especially what's highlighted in bold.

I agree with sliders, but they need to be limited so there's no cheating.

But yea, why am I suddenly the star over Carmelo on the knicks? And why are my teammates playing like buffoons?

glad you mentioned that thing about your player being introduced last. I mean seriously that's another instance of a pack of polish-- no way a newly undrafted rookie is gonna take over the superstar as the leader of the team right off the bat.

This is easily the best game mode in a sports game ever besides Fifa's Ultimate Team.

The face scan is amazing, it's easily the best character creator in any game ever made now. Actually having my real face in the game makes it feel so real. I have a common name so the game announces my full name when I make big plays; it's so surreal. I don't even like basketball, nor understand anything besides basic rules...yet I'm having a blast.

The new cutscenes crack me up. I dunno who voice acts my teammate (Cousins from the Kings) but him walking up to me after every game and insulting me in a low, muttering voice never ceases to make me smile.

In many sports games, I get bored doing seasons after a while because there's nothing to them besides just playing games. But I don't see myself getting bored for a long while with this game. I haven't even touched Myteam, Myleague or MyGM yet.


The small nitpicks like the game not giving me any grade for setting screens, player of the game not working and simulating while on the bench (The CPU magically gaining tons of points while you are on the bench) isn't stopping me from loving this game.

That's why I feel bad for xbox and ps4 users. You can't lock in sliders. PC you can use a program to lock in sliders. So my teammates actually take those shots. I can adjust the sliders so they aren't just whiffing on easy buckets. Still get realistic % as I'm on bucks and we shoot about 44-47% as a team normally. Also helps on the defensive side to be able to adjust sliders for you and the CPU even though the movement for both you and the cpu on D is a joke. I get that they do not want people putting sliders to 100 so they can level their player faster for online(if that is even the case as I have never played online MC before), but I do not care about online. This is offline and they need to set it so at least offline MC has the option to do that.(No Offense to you online people ).

There are a bunch of things that reduced my enthusiasm, to name a few:
- Can't see team roster when signing a contract in free agency
- No playbook customization and not possible to see it, can only try it in-game
- Even if you're 65 overall you can displace a superstar in the starting lineup
- The way my player talks
- Not possible to see transactions between teams (trades, FA signings, etc)
- No playoff bracket
- playing in blowouts with a bunch of scrub teamates

i cosign all of this. easily the best 2k game i've played but some of these things that are missing are just too blatant to ignore.

i'd rather have no story if it meant my guy wasn't a dbag all the time.

I like the cutscenes and endorsements ! Gameplay wise off ball and defense still feels sluggish . Honestly at times it feels like a chore playing . Not really fun. Mypark is fun tho

I agree with this. Especially the chore part. I love playing on the Park and Rec Center with my friends, and want to level up. I love the fact that you really have to play both to improve ratings, then the Park Rep. But season games end up feeling like a chore.

I try and play the 12 min qtr SS/Sim like I play in MyLeague, but its just not the same.

During my first season, playing C with Timberwolves and with a defensive mindset, I was so disappointed. Thinking that its the same as 2k14 NG, with less script and improved graphics. I had so many issues in regards to non-substitution, teammates being dumb etc. I'd like to immerse myself so the setting is SIM/SS with 12 mins/qtr as soon as I hit being at the first five.

THEN, second season comes with KD asking me to consider the OK (others were Timberwolves and Green of San Antonio asked me to consider their respective teams as well) so I obliged to be with KD. I was signed with 1 year deal with OK. MAN....everything is different. We still lose some games but its all close games. I dont need to score that much to win and that gives me more time to focus on rebounds and Defense. It's like these 2 seasons are very different from each other. And I like it....though it could be better. So i selected #2.

Probably forgot a couple of things, but from the top of my head those really annoy me, I want all the info and I want the game to be as realistic as possible, hopefully at least some is fixed with patches.

But I'm still enjoying playing the game.
Edit: Stuff that bothers me is more related to the story than the actuall gameplay, and I can still get most info in other ways, like scrolling through all teams under player stats and see who plays where, and I only go to teams where the position I play is not filled with stars so me starting is actually realistic.

Most of this. There really is no reason all of this stuff was not implemented in this mode.
