Re: Error CE-34878-0
I reinstalled, after the game was loaded and the gs/cav game was done, I had 3 files that said they were corrupted (user files I guess). My career loaded fine after the main menu patch was installed. All tattoos there.
Here's what I did:
Uninstall game via option button on game launch icon
Begun game without the patch being downloaded.
Let game install.
Canceled myplayer creation
Exited to apply patch
Launch game
Main menu patch applied.
Loaded my career and it's fine.
Edit: my user lock camera was maintained, all my control preferences were not saved. I'm guessing one of those files was corrupted, same as sliders and difficulty level.Last edited by Hyperlite; 11-04-2015, 03:48 PM.Comment

2) game won't load once you get the error. Makes me think this morning's update corrupted game files accidentally. I'm going to check in later and/or tomorrow to see if 2K has any comment on the issue. Not going to reinstall just yet. Don't even know if it is a server side issue or local game file issue (just appears to resemble a corrupted local game file).
3)those who are reinstalling, no way to know if they'll get the same error again anyway. What if 2k pushes out a fix in the next few hours?Comment

1)don't know what platform. I'm on PS4, but has anyone had it happen on XB1?

Since so many people have same issue can not be a local issue. And even re-installing the game, if it has to do with something corrupting our data it will pop-up again unless they fix it.
In addition I want them to try to ensure that we won't receive losses for their mistakes.Comment

Re: Error CE-34878-0
Wow I really thought it was just me. Only 2k16 had this issue for me and I thought it was my system. The out of nowhere I see this.
I restarted system....Failed
I saved all game data to usb and online storage then deleted it. Started game....Failed
I looked for a way to delete game data(patches) without deleting 51gb game from harddrive...Failed
I said "shaq fu" it and deleted the whole game... then started it up...Success
Right now it's still installing but much faster than it did when I first bought the game as well as the patch.Playing NBA 2K feels like a job that pays minimum wage and then cuts your pay when you get your Bill's right to make it even harder to succeed. I do not like this game but it's the only one in town.
At cheese, I'm trash. At basketball, I'm great!

just google the error code if you dont believe me lol.
its probably 1 of their updates that dont work with a prior patch/update.
reinstalling usually only install the latest patch and update since that is what you need and neglect the prior ones.Comment
