Re: PS4 version gone horribly wrong with input lag?

The consoles are behind the times because they were designed years ago when today's high end graphics cards weren't available.

Regarding the input lag, it's also a big problem on the Xbone.

I concur that this is a problem.

I hate when I press the button to block a shot and my dude goes up after the shot goes in.

I downloaded it from steam this weekend to see what it'd be like. I haven't played online as regardless of platform, online play is of no interest to me. I will say that they seem like 2 entirely different games as far as control goes, though.

The pc version is responsive and there's nearly no sliding around and no herky jerky movements. Your guy doesn't speed up and seem like he's on roller skates then slow down and feel like he's in quicksand. It's all just fluid movement on both sides of the ball. The pc version is way better as far as control goes.

I think I have to switch. I can't play my ps4 version now. It's gross.

Yeah, I don't have a reference point as far as console goes, but the game never really felt unresponsive to me on PC. So I had wondered where all the talk about input lag was coming from.

Dude, I have both. Entirely different games. Anyone who plays it on pc after playing ps4 first will immediately do what they can to switch and also feel very cheated. I wouldn't have spent the money on my ps4 version had I known the pc version was actually good.

I'm trying to play some Rec Center games right now on STEAM to check out the online performance, but there's literally not one other person logged into this mode:

My STEAM name is jyoung if you guys want to add me and try to get some Park games going on PC.

They have some issue with putting people in parks/RC that have enough people in them. Go out and come back in.

I've tried reloading the Rec Center about a dozen times now and I still can't get anyone else to show up.

The Rivet City park I keep getting put in has about 10 people at most.

Yeah, then it's a ghost town then.

Re: PS4 version gone horribly wrong with input lag?

I wanna test this out, because online (park, quick ranked, myteam) is what I play the most and the lag on d is killing me..
Tried everything and it's definitely not my connection..

I think it would blow up my laptop trying to play this tho lol
I don't wanna be Jordan, I don't wanna be Bird or Isiah, I don't wanna be any of those guys.
I want to look in the mirror and say I did it my way.

Re: PS4 version gone horribly wrong with input lag?

Well, after playing about 15 two-on-two and three-on-three games in Rivet City, I'm not feeling any difference between the PC version and PS4 versions.

The input lag is still there for me, unfortunately.

Does offline play between the two feel any different/more responsive though? That's what the other guy was saying. I feel like there's input delay in online play too, fwiw.

There seem to be as many complaints about input delay/lag in offline games for consoles as there are for online. I thought maybe it was just people not understanding the movement system, but if it really feels different on PC as opposed to consoles maybe there's something to that.

I'm getting a gaming PC in about a month. I will get the PC version then.

You're so right though. I DO feel cheated by the PS4 version. No Jordan Potg highlights, unplayable laggy online, AND worse graphics than PC. PlayStation versions of the 2k series have always gotten the shaft. For years there was a legacy issue of tearing on legends jerseys if you upped the period length and like usual 2k didn't care to do anything about it.

I'm about done with console gaming. All my PS4 sports games have been a tremendous disappointment. Sony will be losing a decent bit of money because they won't be having my support. I have high hopes for my conversion back to PC gaming.

Within 5 seconds of moving your player around you'll notice a massive difference.

I keep saying this but it honestly feels like 2 different games.

Yea the pc version is really bad as well. I haven't played in a week because i get sad at the thought of the input lag.
