FTs shouldve been heavily in your favor. 2K doesnt reward driving as opposed to shooting 3s.

I like how people criticize the OP without even seeing the game. Maybe it was cheesy or maybe he ran plays to get wide open looks in the paint or maybe his opponent abused the steal button and tried to steal the inbound to give him a 5 on 4 every time (this happens a lot online). It would be not SIM to take advantage of this. It'd be like playing a pick up game vs some ADD high schoolers that try to steal everything. You take your points.
On the other hand, you should have adjusted your defense completely. I can see it being difficult with the input lag, but did you turn help def off (which also helps rebounding) and play tight def on perimeter? Zone also makes it harder to rebound as well and we all know long shots will equal longer rebounds.
Basically, it is all assumptions on how both parties played without seeing footage, but I don't blame OP if his opponent was playing like a total cheeser on def or just had awful defense.
Regardless, Online is still probably bad.Comment

OP you pretty much got beat on the boards 40-26, he shot horrible from 3 but he beat you because he was able to keep possession of the ball, his time of possession has you pretty good by almost 4 minutes plus you lost the turnover battle. There is a very high percentage you will lose a game when you get beat on the glass, and in the turnover game. You definitely have to do better in those areas if you expect to win a close game, if you flip those rebound numbers (mainly this) and the turnover numbers you would and should have slaughtered himComment

Well I've tried some advice from people in this thread and I've noticed that I'm rebounding better I just need to switch my POE to crash defensive glass. Also limit perimeter shots helps close out better. As for my opponent I was running plays to score inside but his defense was atrocious.T.R.U. 2 MY REALIGION

I will throw out these tidbits. I think you need more friends to play with. He clearly wants to play arcadish,
- You guys played a 6 minute quarters but he shot enough attempts and scored enough points that would account for a 12 minute game. Your starters basically played the whole game which you can't do in a 12 minute game was fatigue on?
- Your opponent had to cheese the threes but it appears you cheesed the inside I can't really tell but I will give you the benefit of doubt because he had to have horrible defense that allowed that many baskets in the paint
- No shot fatigue for Lilliard 33attempts and 19 threes in 21 minutes? This is a case I would expect some shot fatigue Wow
- The rebounding just looks ridiculous but it looks like he was getting an abnormal amount of second attempts that don't make sense. It also seems like he was exploiting the rebounding and turning it to 3pt attempts

But your opponent shot extremely POORLY from 3. Well below NBA averages. There's no way your particular game can be a statement on the effectiveness of 3-point cheesing. I would love for my opponent to chuck that much at those percentages. You didn't lose because of his 3 point spam. In fact the door was wide open for an easy win given how badly and inefficiently he's shooting. Like bottom in league NBA bad.
It's those offensive rebounds. Were you trying to fast break or jumping at everything taking your defenders out of rebounding position?

Yeah the dude he played shot 30% which in NBA stats is bottom % but that's 48 minute long games and Houston leads in attempts at 33 and the guy he played chucked 54 in 24 minutes, that's over 2 attempts per minute so in a 48 minute game that would be over 100 attempts..you don't think that is cheesing just a little? If anything this thread is an example of why all complaints shouldn't be taken seriously. He shot 35 more times than you did! The game shouldn't have even been that close. I don't see how you can complain about chucking 3s when a guy shoots 30%. Also how do you have the damn NY Knicks and only take 1 3?
I will say one thing though, this does show that there's a problem with foul calling. Anyone who takes that many shots in the paint shouldn't be tied in foul shots with someone who lives on the perimeter.Comment
