My Player sluggish movement
Anybody pissed at the delayed/slow reactions your player gets in My Player? Like you move the control sticks and your My Player is delayed by a second or 2, resulting in the ball carrier storming right by you.. AND running into everybody and getting blocked.. I've also had a few instances where I go for a steal and my guy lazily stumbles forward 4 steps nearly falling over.. Anybody else experience the sluggish movement?Tags: None -

Re: My Player sluggish movement
Yeah this is extremely annoying, it feels like you almost have no control over your player.
Move the analog stick slightly in one direction and it's nearly impossibly to recover, sometimes i feel like i can't even run in a straight line on a fast break.
And my player is a PG and ratings in the 90s.NFL : Atlanta Falcons
MLB : Toronto Blue Jays

Re: My Player sluggish movement
A lot of this is due to conflicting shot animations. If you look deep into characters they usually have the same hop jumper, post hop shot, etc.
I use The Michael Jordan shot animation, along with Elite Pull up 2, Post Hop 10, etc and I get much less of this.
Also if you don't have above the required athleticism to pull off the dunk, don't even bother equipping it.2k16 My Team:
PG: CP3, John Wall, Kyrie
SG:Klay Thompson, D.Wade, Kobe
SF: LBJ, Melo, PGeorge
PF: Blake, Aldridge, Duncan
C: '06 Shaq, Cousins, Bosh

Re: My Player sluggish movement
Oh my goodness the defense is a joke ! So sluggish and delayed . Every tipped pass or block shot goes to the offense . Offensive players can zig zag and behind the back dribble with little to no penalty while the defense slides away off the face of the earth.#1 Laker fan

Re: My Player sluggish movement
2k has said countless times its a new momentum system wihin the game and its the first year it's be implemented . no more "drop of a dime" movement on offense and defense. You have to lightly move the stick now and the rate in which u recover is goverened by lateral movement , quickness ratings#SIMNATION

What about the zig zag cheese ?
You've never experienced the unresponsiveness of the block button either ?#1 Laker fan

Re: My Player sluggish movement
Yes, I notice it not just in MyPlayer, but in the whole game. It makes the game not nearly as fun and I've been an NBA 2K fanboy since it dropped for Dreamcast. Very disappointed in this years version and may just sell it as the sluggish movements make the game a snooze fest.Comment

Re: My Player sluggish movement
well size and weight and the way you upgrade matters. Me for example i have a 7'3 330 pound center and he moves like a slug despite having max athelete
Then i have a 7'2 240 pound center who moves a little quickerLast edited by nyk_fatboy; 12-01-2014, 02:47 PM.Comment

Re: My Player sluggish movement
It is highly annoying indeed, just like the slow and often nonsensical passing (and pass receiving) animations.
Both are of course even worse because of the dumb ai:
- sluggish movement - bad or just a lack of teammate rotations on defense.
- sluggish passes - on the break teammates either cut to the wrong place or simply stop running.
But even just in general, the passing takes way too much time of the clock. - First you have to wait until your teammate stands completely still, otherwise he just ends up fumbling it most of the time.
- Second, you have to make sure that there's no defender moving near the passing lane, doesn't matter that they're not looking and running away from it they will magically steal it.
- Third, hope and pray that your teammate doesn't cut into three defenders the moment you press the pass button.Comment
