This is beyond a joke. Bought the game, played it, found it was broke, shelved it, waited for patch. Patch is out and im still waiting. If 2k just simply came out and said "You will have it soon guys be patient" there would not be an issue.

No they arent. Last warning. The mods will handle anyone stepping over the line but people can complain when justified. They are clearly justified here.

They can't tell you that because at this point the release of the patch is out of their hands. All they can say is its been submitted and give a general timeframe on when it could release. I'm not defending 2K just stating the facts, if they truly submitted it to Microsoft then everyone is waiting on Microsoft to release it.

I'm just as frustrated as everyone else but people really gotta understand how marketing & PR work. We'd all obviously like at least an acknowledgement on this issue and many others but nothing is really that simple on the corporate side of things. There's levels to things and protocol and chain of commands. In regard to info releases... they may have said to much in the first place by saying that we should expect the patch within a week... but clearly they don't respond to things that they have to address delicately & appropriately. THATS why we haven't gotten response on the subject. Very likely that we will only get response when the patch is hours from release.

I'm sorry but if it was the other way round and for example it was only out in Europe and only x1 this site would explode! It's easy to say relax and wait and it's only ten days when you are sat playing it! Like someone said just some clarity from 2k on this page would go a long way

The american and international versions of the patch obviously weren't submitted at the same time to sony.

Unbelievable!! 70€ for the game and the patch will be released ten days after USA.

I think the only thing worse than actually waiting extra time for a patch that's already out is the amount of people coming in here with the "it's no big deals" or the "relax" like if it's no big deal to you then don't comment. Feels good to have a mod feel the same way we feel so our anger wouldn't we pushed aside.

Say something like what ? The patch will release soon ? Will that really make you feel better ? IMO that would be a slap in the face. If they have no further update than they are waiting on Microsoft to release the patch then what can they really say that they haven't already said ? Unless they are hiding something and that's pure speculation then there's nothing they can really say. The timeframe they give us for patches is likely the same timeframe Sony and Microsoft gives them.

Bummer that this thread has went from a discussion about the patch and how it functions/still needs work, to page after page of complaints.

The complaints are justified, for sure, but damn...anyone trying to talk about the patch gets buried pages deep with 50 people stating the same thing over and over.

Once again, people are free to voice grievances, but its like every thread on the 2k boards turns into 100% complaining and zero constructive conversation.

OS just isn't what it used to be...I guess the same could be said about the games too.

PR and marketing professional here. It's actually not good to provide 0 information in a situation like this. Especially in an industry split by two behemoth companies.

The lack of transparency creates the belief of favoritism to one party, and creates negative feelings toward the neglected portion of their target market.

They haven't acknowledged that this is a huge problem and both parties (2k and Microsoft) are just deflecting blame, that's a terrible message to send out.

And finally they're allowing the public (this forum, Twitter, etc.) to control the conversation, which is never what you want.

And to be perfectly honest this is a bigger issue for 2k than it is for Microsoft, if I were creating a SWOT analysis for EA I'd create a huge section under Opportunities with this issue highlighted.
