This thread has fallen by the wayside, but it's time to bring it back.
The contextual animations in the paint are really strong now. There are very few awkward looking shots in the paint anymore. Both user and CPU players for both teams are aggressive and fluid when attacking the rim, choosing the right kind of animation/release on layups, dunks, post moves, floaters, all kinds of shots. The ball tracking on block attempts is solid too. I would slightly decrease the ball invulnerability on layups to allow for a few more blocks per game, Especially for CPU controlled elite shot blockers.
Also I don't know about the higher levels of the game, but on the lower levels, User CPU teammates finally play as well(if not better now) than the opponent CPU players. That CPU opponent inherent hustle play advantage is gone now. Good Job.
Contact in the paint, is really balance, IMO, in terms of fouls, hard fouls, no calls, bad calls, causing missed shots, and allowing And 1's. The contact on the perimeter is nice now too, just needs a few more blocking calls. I would imagine that this is very hard to balance especially with the way many Users play.
I hope that no new game play mechanic gets introduced that causes the tuning to be reset to square one next year.
