    Re: 2K16 Shot Meter

Meter itself is fine, shot ratings need to be more important than timing however, especially with so many broken releases. Going 2-8 on open threes with Korver is a frustrating experience.

I've never been a fan of "meter " shooting. I'm more of a animation timing guy.....so I vote to banish it from the game. Or at least online head to head games.

If you go 2 for 8 with him you have had a good shooting game with him, which is even more frustrating.

            Re: 2K16 Shot Meter

I selfishly voted to trash it. Graphics & animations are too good for me to be looking at meters. As long as it's an option, does it matter?

I don't like release timing as a factor in hitting shots. I use Real % and hate that release timing is still involved. I can't imagine too many NBA players are concious of their release timing.

I'm still waiting for the option to turn off the user circle though... or at least a less intrusive way to identify user control.

That's why you have Volume shooter badge. A player gets hot by chucking the ball(Kobe, Swaggy P) and can get cold if he doesn't attempt a FG.

                  Voted for removal.

I think there is no need such emphasis on timing the button release of jumpshot at all, I'd prefer be rewarded/penalized more by actual shot selection than anything else (especially in online modes) . Of course a way too early or late releases should still exist, but i'd rather see no missed shot because some kind of bar is too long/short by a millitmeter. Really tired of this shooting bar meta game already. Also less overlay on screen, more realistic look in graphics.

Mike, is there anyway the animation shots with no perfect releases can be fixed on 2K15? We still have 8 months with the game and it is not fun playing with the team is full of all difficult animations shots. It ruins the most basic fundamental of a basketball game, shooting.

                      Re: 2K16 Shot Meter

I hate it. It's impossible to get a perfect release with melo from behind the 3pt line on HOF/ssuperstar. I get perfects in the mid ranges but in over 150 online games and a bunch of MyGM games, loads of time making quicy acy and travis wear run miles picking up my rebounds. I have never gotten a perfect with melo behind the 3pt arc on certain difficulties.

And there's a bunch of other players glitched like this. I prefer the old system. No matter how many game winning perfect releases I missed in 2k14. It fustrates me even more to constantly get the release right on the line all the time and miss open shots 2k rates as A- over and over. Once I drop the difficulty thought to all star it's money all day

I like the meter, it's fine how it is. Don't really play online, so it's perfect for me in offline games such as MyCareer.

It's good for learning shot releases but it feels random.

I believe majority of shooting animations take a little to long before release.

Speeding up passing would help that also.

There's something called practice mode. Take your team there and get to work .this game isn't "pick up n play"

Turn it off first of all. 2nd the releases are tied to the shot base not the arm motions.
