Connection Question

When trying to play 2K yesterday me and my roommate both cant be connected to the online server at the same time. We share the same WIFI connection but this was never a problem for any other games.

Does anyone know if 2K just isnt programed to let multiple users on at the same time from one connection or if it might have just been a problem on our end?

I might sound crazy for asking but if you are using the same wifi which to me means you are in close proximity of one another, why not just play each other offline in a quick game? Are you on separate consoles trying to play others online or trying to play online together on 1 console like COD split screen?

We were trying to play teamup or park.

But even if im online playing mycareer he cant play his since he needs to be connected to the server to use it

And yea its two separate consoles
