Also to add to my other post. To go along with drafting tiers it'd be cool to have a perception, meaning you could a one and done next LeBron talent with an all around game or a risky but very athletic player with a raw game that a team would develop.
A team may view you as a sure fire next superstar or a project.
And what team you're on matters, if youre a shooter that plays no defense then a defensive minded team may not be your best bet to see minutes.
And have teams/GM's treat you like everyone else. Getting traded and what not

That sounds nice also it would be cool to know the state of the team whether or not they are rebuilding and tanking or trying to make a playoff push. Would really make staying loyal to a team through the tough times or going somewhere else for a title more interesting.

I couldnt agree more with zello144's post more!

I think the career should flow as follows:

1. Showcase game/NBA Combine
2. NBA Draft
If drafted, summer league to determine whether you make the NBA roster or their D-League affiliate
If not drafted, the option to try out for a D-League team or Euroleague Team
3. D-League/NBA promotions/demotions (10-day contracts, etc.)
4. If you are in the D-League/NBA middle ground, you should be able to play the summer league as many years as neccessary not just the first year of your career.
5. Ability to move from Euroleague(Overseas) to NBA (i.e Brandon Jennings) and vice versa (i.e. Stephon Marbury/Gilbert Arenas/Ron Artest) during free agency.

Those are just a few ideas.

it would be cool 2k would add free roaming through myCrib between games. Then give the ability to either play backcourt on your own court, or walk or drive down the road to myPark.

funds could be used to upgrade your place or vehicle. basically combine GTA with NBA2k, but I'm sure this has been proposed before.

Secondary positions should be part of MyCareer as well.
Situations like Bledsoe/Dragic or Jabari/Giannis can be annoying.

Obviously if your MyPlayer replaces a teams star in the starting lineup and a less important player plays in the secondary position of the star that is more than just annoying.

Obviously if your MyPlayer replaces a teams star in the starting lineup and a less important player plays in the secondary position of the star that is more than just annoying.

This is a must and I also think we should be able to play for team usa as an off season bonus

The Alpha Dog Badge should also come with the ability to request that the team trade for certain players and also select players you don't want to trade away. In the offseason you should be able to recruit free agents to join you

Something tht would be cool would be to be able to play your career then when you retire be able to transfer your player to MyGM and continue as a Gm. So if you retire in 2035 then that's the year your GM would start. If you took for instance the Hornets to multiple titles as a player could you do it as a Gm?

Thats a nice idea but I'd rather retire my player pull off a Jason Kidd and become a coach instead of a GM I really want to see MyCoach exist. They should do something like Madden does with connected careers choosing to be a coach or GM after your playing days are over.

Conducting practice, discussing minutes and strategy with your coaching staff, discussing trades with the GM, going over game film, creating plays, dealing with team chemistry, addressing rumors to the media, sitting in the hot seat and worrying about your job security when your season goes to ****.

MyCoach really needs to become a thing

-Being able to change socks.
-More hairstyles
-Compression pants, not just shorts.
-Shoe glitch has been terrible.
-Change the upgrade system back to the way it was. With this one my PG gets his post hook/post control/post fadeaway upgraded on inside scoring, and his low post offense/low post defense/block when upgrading defense which isn't realistic in anyway. Plus C's and PF's all get the ability to shoot 3's when you upgrade shooting.
-Remove the scenes where when you're about to come into the game you have to watch about 20 seconds of play before you come in, or at least let you button through it.
-Remove the meetings where the coach describes what stuff like "Limit Perimeter shots" and "Feed the Post" are, and then proceeds to show you clips of it. Does anyone seriously watch those?
-Don't make us have to go undrafted. At least have some kind of system for the draft process. I was never a fan of the rookie showcase, but I'd certainly prefer that too being undrafted and getting a couple of 10 day contracts.

Ability to do something with the money from contracts. Progressed up to a 'star' player, signed a max contract.. still in the same crappy apartment/clothes/shoes/etc.. why not let us have the ability to use the money to upgrade the apartment, or use that to buy the accessories?

Star player hitting FA.. cool! Now randomly pick a team without being able to see who is on the roster!

MyCareer this year(last 2k was 2k13) is just so limited, no customization/few options/etc that I have yet to pass 3rd season with any player.

More storylines like top 5, lottery, midlate 1st etc. And one thing which usually wants me to stop. The cutscenes. I like them, but when I create myself (im from Finland) and the high school coach comes. Firstly, we dont have high school teams. Secondly, (im not a racist when saying this) how many black coaches are in Europe? Not so many. So give us atleast different story line when coming from Europe.
