Are you guys using Poke's sliders? I've been seeing a lot of this crap since using his sliders for months. But I'm starting to think it's not the sliders because I've been seeing some straight BS lately. My teammates are straight hard following the CPU for no reason instead of putting hands up or just blocking, and I'm also seeing more flagrants getting called. So I actually came on here to see if anyone else was talking about something, and all it took was for me to read your thread title, and I was like, yup, no more suspicion cuz it ain't me just feeling like myPlayer all of a sudden is garbage and Sunset Ballers are on the bottom of the chain, being surpassed tonight by the Roughriders!
I was so disgusted in the middle of the 2nd game in the Rec Center against Rivet City that I actually had a feeling that I wanted to rage quit, and that ain't me. I never ever have quit an online game, whether it be blacktop in myPark or in the Jordan Rec, so to have that feeling of wanting to quit just cuz I kno that 2k had to, just had to do "something" to change the game, add to this, lessen that.
I was reading everyone's replies, and I know I see alot of the SIM and Superstar HOF game types, I am not super familiar with all the 2k game modes & settings & such lingo, about sliders and Default vs. SIM. I guess I just play my career on default, don't or haven't ever adjusted the sliders. But I mainly play in myPark and Jordan Rec, so I am referring to online play in those 2 game modes.
When I first started the game when I got it, Sunset Ballers were like on top, Flyers close behind, and Roughriders not even close. Then 2 rivals challenge weekends before the last one, Ballers and Flyers were back n forth, with the Flyers winning. Well that last weekend, for the new myPark courts to the winning park, seemed outrageously unfair favor in the Flyers. So be it, and now they are awesome tons of Legends, great players, but rivet City still weren't on the same level as Sunset. When I say this I am referring to like level of competition, number of over dominating great pleayers, and numbers. Well after the last patch and tonight in the Rec was soooo obvious that it seems that now Rivet City Rough riders got the extra boosts to their park/players. So like what I notice is that their players must have certain badges that decrease their opponents, great blocking, no fouls, hard fouls pushing to the ground no calls, dribbling between 3 great players to shoot a turnaround jumper SWISH with no penalty no fumbling just smooth. Same thing I noticed with the Flyers a while back. Doing things to myPlayer some of the best players I have played aren't capable of shutting down and making it that hard to even play!!!!
So what I am saying here isn't specifically taling park vs. park all this comment is basically just saying the opponents. And the 2K horrible servers always seem to kick a player in 2on2 and the Computer guy is just UNSTOBBALE! SICK! GROSS! like if a 105 overall rating was available it is them! lol..Players are like blinking right thru my "GOOD DEFENSE" green bar goes up. They swish a 3 pointer, "SUCCESSFUL BOXOUT"-- only when they make it and always when they make it! But then jump up for a board rip down that board, or so I should have but its like I am playing with OVEN MITS on my hands! fumble, and myplayer lost his common sense to go attempt to snatch the ball!!
SO I know that was a LOT there but like I said, I didn't see if anyone raelly had sepcifially talked about online and what they noticed, but just had to tell someone so I can hop back on and keep on grinding for the REP!Comment

Can someone please tell me exactly
what Defensive assist strength and Boxout Assist strength is??? I know its suppose to help guide you in some way but I never really understood what exactly turning it from 0 to 100 or 100 to 0 is suppose to do? Is it just a placebo effect or does it really matter. What are the games default settings for these?Comment

I only got the game after patch 3 was released, but everything in the OP is my experience of it since I bought it. It's not a fun game to play this year. I wish I'd got it on patch 2 before posterizer and shooting were nerfed into oblivion.Comment

Best way to understand thee is to actually experiment with your game play. If you put it on 100 then try to box out, there's a good chance your guy will glide across the floor till he finds someone to tie himself up against. If you have it on zero, you'll need to be accurate.
You're better off setting all those to 0 and playing the game. You might find it weird at the start, but it's loads better to play without that stuff on. This game already takes too much control away from the user with it's animations.Comment

Except I'm NOT playing with "different teams with different players and different ratings"....
I'm almost exclusively playing MyTeam with the same players...and playing some of the SAME teams as I'm playing Challenges where I play the same team more than once.
This isn't some strange feeling either....I can pinpoint WHEN the change happened.
I played the game pretty late into the night on Wednesday....and noticed the changes in the very first game I played Thursday.
And this isn't something that is unprecedented. 2K did it 2 years ago with 2K13 on PS3. I know because suddenly the game went from an offensive-heavy scoringfest to a game where it was extremely difficult to make open shots.
I'm sure they made some type of change or tweak....I can feel it on defense. My guys are sliding around bouncing off of offensive players and when I SWITCH defenders I'm getting caught in this weird "moonwalk" delay thing where the guy I just switched to starts moving backwards.
As for the fouls...I'm a SIM guy and actually LIKED how the game was calling more fouls AFTER the patch. But now the fouls are getting called a lot more often....and for fouls that weren't fouls on Wednesday.Comment

That's cool....but to be CLEAR this thread isn't about that.
It's about changes that happened recently....specifically Wednesday March 4 and Thursday March 5. Like I said earlier in the thread, this isn't a thread to complain about this year's game.
And I couldn't disagree with you more when it comes to changes from the patch.
I loved the patch. The game before the patch was basically NBA Jam 2K15...Comment
