I play all 82 games with 12 minute quarters. This is the only mode I play. For the first 70 games I was 37-33, in 9th place in the west, shooting 44% from the field and 32% from 3. This game was awesome. I was having the challenge of a lifetime. Can I bring the Kings to the playoffs? If I make it, can I have a long playoff run? It was fun. The last 12 games I went 11-1. I lost to OKC 137-129. In regulation. Those last 12 games I averaged 131 points per game, shooting about 57% from the field and 50% from 3. I thought after playing 70 games I just got better. I came back to this website to check if something was up because I just started the playoffs. I had to call pause at halftime. I'm up 77-48. Im shooting 10/13 from 3 and 28/39 overall. This is ridiculous. The challenge is gone. The fun is gone. Is there anything that can be done? Can I delete this patch somehow? I don't want to make the move to real player % because I like having a slight amount of control over weather or not I hit shots. But this is just silly. I shouldn't be ripping it up from 3 point range with Tony Allen (traded for him). He's 10/15 in the last 5 games. That's nuts. I'm just sad now. I can't finish this season unless it can go back to the way it was. I hate being the guy who blindly blames the people in charge of this stuff, but cmon man. You ruined this game. It's easier than Double Dribble now. Take the patch back. I'll wait a couple weeks. I can't play this game anymore. I am sad. That is all. Have a nice night.
This is EXACTLY how I feel, instead of Tony Allen for me it's Kirk Hinrich looking like a prime Ray Allen now. I've tried everything from sliders to real % to HOF, can't touch the game again til I read some good news here.

I am just hoping 2K give us one more quick patch and put the shooting back to how it was and also add headbands (which I am sure won't happen lol). And then work on the shooting completely for 2K16.

Don't leave us with the shooting this way. 2K15 is easily one of the top 3 2Ks for me and if shooting is bad as it sounds, it'll be a long wait for 2K16 and leave a bad taste in my mouth.

Yeah the game is too easy and there is no efficient way to tweak that since sliders don't affect green releases.

That's why when you play online against someone who plays good defense, it's hard to get Green releases...but play against someone who chases the ball like a puppy dog or plays a crappy zone that leaves knock-down shooters open all game long...and, yeah, it's easy to get Green releases.

Let's not lose track of what the problem here is. Nerfing shooting to cover up bad defensive AI by the CPU doesn't actually "fix" anything. It just covers up a flaw/problem.

Exposing the poor AI and not properly balancing the game doesn't just uncover a flaw. It effectively breaks the game. The game is not improved by flaws being uncovered with no possible resolution.

And I would say the shot system from reports seems broken regardless of the AI. Most missed shots in the real NBA are uncontested. And if the ease of getting greens is bad as reported, it is simply a broken mechanic, because it completely bypasses the simulation engine and ratings when greens are obtained (and they are obtained often).

Maybe I'm not as good as I thought but I definitely can't get green releases on command like some are saying (on higher difficulties anyway).....so slider tweaks worked fine for me as far as increasing the difficulty of the A.I in my experience....

Why can't Tony Allen shoot 7/8 from 3 point? He is a professional basketball player, he is capable.

He is capable but he is not consistently capable. He shouldn't do that every game.

It should be possible but low chance of happening based off his 32% 3FG and that is with no one really contesting his 3's. He is left open a lot in the perimeter.

                    Can someone answer this ...

Does playing with real fg% help curtail some of the high shooting %s people are now seeing?

EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

so since Deandre Jordan and Andre Roberson are professional basketball player they should also make 7/8? That's not Tony Allens game he's not a great 3pt shooter. Also when the player has a low consistency and a low mid or 3pt shot they shouldn't be hitting shots a lot. But this has been going on before patch 4 where horrible shooters or players don't play like themselves.

I believe it does, at least in the games I've played. Shooting percentages are up a few points for both me and the CPU, but I haven't seen anything over 50% for a game yet. Last game I played was in my Charlotte Hornets MyLeague versus the New Orleans Pelicans. Pelicans won by 7, 98-91 and if I recall correctly, they shot 48% for the game and I was at 46%. I didn't see anything that made me think the game was "broken".

You do see more mid-range and close-range shots going in, but 3-pointers remain the same. I actually like that the close-range was bumped up as that's seemed to help more layups from bigs go in with traffic around them, whereas before it was typically a miss if you weren't wide-open down low.

Thank you DJ. I typically play with default user timing but I will switch it to real fg% if I see %'s getting out of hand.

Offline users: tone down consistency, 3 point shooting and mid range. Turn up Jump shot defense strength (gather should be high).

Been getting realistic shot percentages with these slider changes.

Look, I realize offline guys can MAYBE get things back to how they were before by tweaking sliders, etc. But they shouldn't have to.

Many have spent a ton of time getting things just right. And now 2K decides to release a patch that improves some stuff, but screws other stuff up? That's just unacceptable IMO.
