All I know is there's something weird that starts happening..

Whether it's a secret comeback code, momentum, or some placebo that's been placed in my head after reading so much about 3rd quarter comebacks...something does happen to me occasionally:

I'll do the same thing I've been doing (against a bad opponent that shows no IQ) and it stops working...I'll miss (slightly) contested layups that I wasn't before, I'll seem to miss more open shots, and throw lazier passes.
Now I play this game online against other users a lot, and I don't usually lose leads, but I can still see them starting to come back and it becomes frustrating.

They start getting more calls when they just run baseline, and they'll hit contested jumpers too...
This is usually when I slow the game down and burn through timeouts whenever they hit a garbage shot.

Not saying it's anything, because I don't want an argument, just saying there is something happening and it's probably the momentum..if that's the case it doesn't seem to recognize poor basketball being played.
I don't wanna be Jordan, I don't wanna be Bird or Isiah, I don't wanna be any of those guys.
I want to look in the mirror and say I did it my way.

Has anyone else ever noticed that when you get to game point in the park(13 or 14) that making the final shot to end the game , either a 2 or a 1, is a lot more difficult than any other points that have been scored throughout the game? It seems like you have to be wide open to make that final shot.

It also seems like if you are behind you have a higher percentage of making whatever shot you take, contested or wide open.

This doesn't have anything to do with AI comeback coding but it illustrates to me that, if nothing else, shot percentages are altered, even if only slightly, allowing the team that is behind to have a chance to comeback.

Not from what I've seen. What I notice is that far too many people seem to want to win like jackasses in "style" by ending with some dunk at 14, or a "3" when they are at 13. Never fails. Passing up easy baskets or trying to force it in. No. You don't need to be wide open. You just need to continue to play the way that got you the lead.

CPU starts doing unrealistic crap and cheese to get back into the game. Your CPU teammates become quite dumb and start leaving their man for no reason and other crazy things that shouldn't happen. You have the ball start going through hands and other bodyparts including the backboard. CPU getting bail out fouls. CPU doing wrestling moves on you and you don't get the call. CPU doing the 1 legged dirk with everyone and making that shot at a high clip. CPU making shots over 2 7 footers. It's like ppl forgot about the clutch factor option and slider we had the ability to turn off and lower; which slider makers at the time did. I guarantee it's on by default and the slider is at default or higher.
There is a lot of hypocrisy in here. At least, we are providing videos with proof on how to sustain leads. Too many guys in here are basing their opinions and persuasions based off of anecdotal data. Saying, "I've seen countless games where the CPU or my opponent will magically comeback and I've seen them down 23 with 2 min left to win!" or "CPU starts doing unrealistic crap and cheese to get back into the game." Statements like that prove nothing.

There is no excuse for not using a video or some sort of evidence/data. I will never believe in this magic comeback AI theory or whatever people call it, especially with how poor their arguments are. When they usually do provide video footage then we see why they are blowing leads.....

So not saying anyone in here is wrong or right, but at least, provide some type of evidence. Both next gen consoles can share footage and upload videos....use it.

Also....stop playing on HOF Sim if you are doing so. Playing on SS or HOF can be done but you can't complain when they shoot 55-60 pct against you every game. Adjust your sliders or move down a difficulty, otherwise stop complaining. HOF has always been "cheese" and everyone knows that by now. The game just artificially increases their play through attribute upgrades rather then making them play smarter.

Not directed at anyone even though I quoted the user above me, but I see way too many general statements that offer nothing to the community. It is 2015 so take advantage of the ability to share gameplay footage.
