Did we ever get an answer on this? Was playing with the classic teams last night and couldn't miss... Then realised that their ratings might not have been updated to reflect patch 4.

If they haven't been updated by 2k, had anyone got adv xbox1 roster with the mid range and 3 point shooting ratings reduced by 8 for all the classic teams?

    Cheers

I think its a no then. It needs doing.

I don't especially want to edit all of the classic players manually, so I have tweeted ronnie2k to see if they will do it in the next roster update.

This has bad effects for simulated games in myleague and mygm... the whole league now shoots significantly worse from 3 point range than they should.

What he is saying is 2K brought the number down by adjusting every single player just say whatever it is 7 rating points in a roster. When you simulate a game in MyGM, MyLeague the stat engine was hard coded to the original number. So now the whole league in simulated games would shoot worse because the stat engine was not readjusted or patched to take into account the minus 7 points in the roster.

Or even simpler Say a player is rated 80 3pt rating = 37% to the game as an example. In the roster update he is now rated say a 80-7 =73 3pt rating = 31%. When you simulate the games the previously 80 rated player will now shoot like a 31% 3pt shooter. So the shooting of the league will drop for every game you don't play in if you start a new MyLeague.

Yep, the league as a whole shoots significantly worse from 3 point range than it ought to. Specifically:

                NBA Last year:

9 Teams shot 36% or better

21 teams shot 34% or better

29 teams shot 32% or better, worst team shot 31.8%

In a simmed season with 2k's latest official roster:

1 team shot 36% or better

6 teams shot 34% or better

18 teams shot 32% or better, worst team shot 27.7%. 11 teams shot worse than the actual worst team last year.

On an individual basis, in the actual NBA last year 13 players shot 40% or better

In a 2k simmed season with the latest official roster, 3 players did.

Interestingly they seem to have missed Luke Babbitt of the Pelicans with the global rating adjustment, so he's now one the best 3 point shooters in the league, nearly as good as Korver or Klay Thompson.

They did because the last patch made shooting easy as cake.

The patch before that threes were basically rare .

It really would have been better to balance the shooting around current ratings instead of compromising simmed stats for MyLeague and MyGM. What's worse, we can't edit rosters for MyCareer so we have to play that mode in a league where everyone shoots threes like it's thirty years ago.

It seems to me the way to do it would have been to change the default sliders rather than the ratings.

This whole roster thing won't work in MyLeague. Guys will start shooting below their usual percentages in simmed games, while rookies who would normally be average shooters will become and progress into the top shooters of the league. It's ridiculous.
did they fix the rookies' 3pt shooting at the end?
