Re: 2k16: Improved attention to Detail with Euroleague prospects
This is a cyberface of Dario Saric made for nba 2k14 on the NLSC forums. It's not perfect but it's much better than the one in 2k15 (the below pick). If 2k16 gets up to the quality of the first cyberface, I'll be satisfied

Re: 2k16: Improved attention to Detail with Euroleague prospects
For comparison here's a real life picture.
So many euro players in 2k look nothing like their real life counterparts.
Has there been any confirmation that 2k's putting attention towards this?Comment

Re: 2k16: Improved attention to Detail with Euroleague prospects
They haven't even mentioned what 25 teams there will be this year. It's widely believed to be the same as last year, but nothing official yet. I hope the Euros got more love this year. They all looked great in 2k14.Comment

As a fellow fan of the Euroleague, I really hope that 2K Share returns. That way someone can do a great Turkish Airlines Euroleague set complete with accurate rosters, courts, and play styles. I'd take that sucker and jump right on into MyLeague.Comment

Re: 2k16: Improved attention to Detail with Euroleague prospects
Lassa Tyres is the offical sponser for FC Barcelona, which is why they released the picture.
That's not his 2k15 model, the skin tone is completley different. In fact his 2k15 model is closer in skin tone/Hair than the one in this picture.
That being said. I retract my optimisism. I jumped the gun. The player they're creating is Alex Abrines
Not even the same skin tone/hair.
Hopefully that's a fakeLast edited by Bexthelegend; 09-03-2015, 07:39 AM.Comment

Re: 2k16: Improved attention to Detail with Euroleague prospects
There is some difficulties creating Euroleague content i'd guess.
*The team pool in euroleague is changing every year. Some teams qualify to play it like every other season.
*Hard to pick ratings/badges to the players. The sample statistics isn't showing everything since there are much less games played in euroleague and games are 10minutes long per quarter. Also many coaches prefer defensive/conservative type of basketball making scorelines low. You have to look into domestic league stats as well for proper sample and that doesn't show it all since games can be much lower level of basketball there .
No excuse to faces being that bad though, even with in game face creator you could make better ones. Also arenas are very poor quality as well.Last edited by Vroman; 09-03-2015, 08:35 AM.Comment

*again teams play domestic leagues and domestic cups in addition to the 32 or so games that you would play to get to the finals of the Euroleague plus they are all broadcasted in their respective countries so there are more than enough samples to look at certain teams and players especially when they play against good domestic competition like Bayern against Alba or Barcelona against Real. European coaches don't prefer defensive basketball they actually let the teams play a lot of pick and roll and pick and pop and quite fast tempo and a lot of ball movement. The reason why the scoreline looks as it does is not lack of coaching but lack of talent. I would venture to say that the height average alone is roughly 3 to 4 inches less in Europe. Furtheremore there is nearly no post game what so ever, a lack of comparable athelticism. Yes the 3 point line is further in, the basket hangs lower, the lane is wider but still... you just can't compare the talent. Even the best teams in Europe have a maximum of 2-3 players that would make it to the NBA and even those would probably not get more than 5-10 minutes a game if that. The fieldgoal percentage usually is abysmal and because certain defensive rules like illegal offense, illegal defense, no handchecking etc. haven't been implemented, same goes for the 5 seconds back to the basket rule the game is less offense friendly add to that the lack of athleticism and you have the reason for the generally slower pace.
If you put some effort in you could easily get the 20 best teams with proper looking faces and maybe even let them play sort of an NBA style league instead of Euroleague or even implement an option for players to add these teams as new NBA franchises, something Stern and Silver have been talking about quite a lot.Comment

Re: 2k16: Improved attention to Detail with Euroleague prospects
* the pool changes because Basketball or rather sport in Europe works completely different from sport in the US. By law something like a draft is completely outlawed by the European Union. Furthermore the Euroleague is a tournament not a real league. Teams play the Euroleague plus their domestic league plus the domestic cup. To get into the Euroleague you need to win your domestic league or clinch a certain spot after the playoffs or in the Eurocup competition. Furthermore there is the lower tier Eurocup in which several other teams play plus the domestic cup winners. The only real possibility to have a consistent field of teams to focus on would be to take the two strongest teams from the 8 best leagues plus the 8 or 10 strongest teams from other countries.
