Re: Hall of Fame Difficulty
I started winning on HOF in 2k8(loved that game), but it started being a little less cheesy when the offensive plays and systems in 2k got better(2k13-present). You just have to outscore the CPU as efficiently as possible. High field goal percentages, low turnovers. With the way shooting is this year it's even easier if you know your releases.Comment

Re: Hall of Fame Difficulty
I can beat the HOF cpu but not consistently because of their cheese.
Are guys able to go on 10-20 game win steak vs the HOF cpu especially in MyLeague?Comment

Re: Hall of Fame Difficulty
Top 3 ways to win on HOF SIM against CPU
1. Only play on ball D never off ball
2. Call timeouts whenever CPU goes on cheese run i.e. hit every shot, and you are missing everything
3. Use same team always and learn all releases.
Been blowing teams out by 20 lately on HOF Sim
On another related note...Have been on 2k for 15 years at this point. Skipped 2k13 and 2k14, but picked up an X1 and 2k15 and started on HOF Sim like I had been on 2k11 and 2k12.
I am just not sure what is happening, I feel like I am hitting way too many threes and just winning too many games. On 2k12 I literally had to grind out every win, hit perfect releases and get to free throw line 30x a game to get a win. The wins were satisfying, if not frustrating at some times. I think the CPU AI did a lot more cheese than in 2k15, maybe thats why I am having an easier time, idk though.
Sorry, I do not have better point of reference since I skipped last two, but does anyone feel like HOF sim or game in general is too easy?
TLDR: IS 2k15 HOF difficulty easier than years past?Comment

Re: Hall of Fame Difficulty
In Franchise? Man I fell off and don't even mess with franchise anymore. Mainly, I guess, because it's just the same crap. It's all the same crap, but at least MyPlayer lets me play online.
I got HoF on lock in MC. MC is easier, tho, I think. I can legit score 70 ppg on HoF/Sim with my PF and it doesn't even feel cheesy. At most, I call for the ball and shoot a fade away. Usually I just house people inside. Catch the ball, pump fake (which is maybe cheesy) with your back to the basket and they will either jump or as you turn you will be able to get past them. That + fade away = all day.
D is easy, too, but it's true that the HoF computer has always been wack. They just decide to make shots. There are no-doubt-in-my-mind unwinnable games. You can just tell, almost at the beginning. Like you play vs OKC and both Durant and Westbrook are shooting 75% on contested BS shots.
I've played so much 2k I pretty much know by how the cpu pulls, where they pull it from, and what the game situation is... if it's gonna be wet.
I do think most people who play vs HoF Sim and win are exploiting the computer in some way, though. But a lot of the exploiting seems like good bball to me.
