Re: OFFICIAL 2K16 PRO-AM Team up thread!
I'll be starting my own team with a few friends, we could use others, preferably inside europe/UK. But whatever.
Also if you can join more than one team I'm open to joining another squad.
Haven't decided what position I'm playing yet this year. But I already know the styles I'll be going for with each position, it's just a case of deciding which one to use.
PG; Pass first, 6'4, shooter. Think Rubio with a little Beno Udrih mixed in. Mostly a mid range guy but can also knock down the three.
SG; Undecided. It will be one of these two. 1. Three and D. Wes Mathews type, maybe Korver with better D. 6'7 Role player that spreads the floor on offense and hangs his hat on defense. Or... 2. Adept scorer. 6'6. Probably some post ups. A lot of cutting. A little shooting. Young Kobe without the volume. I may mix the two and have a sort of Wes Mathews/Shaun Livingston hybrid. A role player that is ideally used for 3 and D. But can also post up a little bit and take on some ball handling duties if needed.
SF: Two way player. 6'8. Back seat on offense, can shoot and drive but only when needed. Think modern day Iguodala. Defensive minded but well rounded offensively.
PF: Basically LaMarcus Aldridge.
C: 7ft. Think Bogut. Defensive minded. Willing and high rated passer for position. Maybe get some points of put backs, could have a baby hook. But that's about it.
I don't need a lot of shots. No way of knowing how good I'll be defensively until the game is out (I hope they've improved the defensive game play). But I just want to win, whether that means setting screens and making hockey assists or posting up and scoring down low or stretching the floor or not taking any shots. Whatever. I like winning. I don't care about my stats.
Would prefer a more sim oriented squad (I know it'll never be proper sim but even just running some type of offense assuming the game will let us). However I'm also open to joining one that's just messing around and having fun as well. As long as there's no cheese.Last edited by MikeGSW; 08-02-2015, 05:36 PM.Comment

Re: OFFICIAL 2K16 PRO-AM Team up thread!
I like how everyones play style is the exact same just at different positions. How is being an SF who is a mix of Durant and LeBron any different than being a PG who is a mix of Curry and Westbrook?
Basically you just want to dunk, shoot and do some flashy assists.
Has anyone posted saying they're content being a role player? Taking 10 or <10 shots per game, specialising in spotting up or posting up etc. Not needing a lot of touches and willing to take a step back?
Or does everyone just want to be the go to guy?
Lol... There's going to be so much chaos with 10 "go to" players on the court simultaneously. Instead of a first and second option on offense it will just be 1a and 1b lolololol
I've taken the back seat plenty of times for the team to win, sure I want to be a scoring option but I'm not going to cry and quit the game or chuck up shots because I'm not.
I'm going to be the captain of a team in a Pro-AM league and we all understand our roles and if we tell someone to step down or take less/better shots they will, everyone is open to criticism.
You don't have to openly say you're okay with being a roleplayer even if you are. Well organized teams and friends won't have chaos on the court, only teams with ****ty communication and randoms would, so yeah.Los Angeles Lakers, Las Vegas Golden Knights, Atlanta Falcons

Re: OFFICIAL 2K16 PRO-AM Team up thread!
Looking for people on the PS4 to join my Pro-Am league. I will be pre-ordering the game from the PS Store so that I can play once its midnight. Once it's midnight, I'm going to try my hardest to get our team name as soon as we can but of course we'll have back up team names. I'll be creating the team and I already have someone else who is willing to play SF. I plan on making a PG that'll be either 6'2" or 6'4". I'd like to have people that have that winning mentality, people that are fun, but will also not argue when I ask them to sit on the bench to let someone else play. Also I'm 17, soon to be 18 coming up in December so I'd like to have people 15 and over.
Add my PSN:SirOSXI and my Kik username: Dayron1234 and I'll start a group chat for everyone. We'll start talking about the team name, jersey logo, our numbers, uniform colors, and all that good stuff we saw in the video. I don't know about you guys, but I'm ready to ball.
By the way, if you don't have a Kik, then don't worry about it, just have a mic on PlayStation and you'll be good to go.Comment

Re: OFFICIAL 2K16 PRO-AM Team up thread!
Just because someone says they want to be the go to guy or say they are a mix of two goods players (how I said I wanted to be a mix of LeBron/Durant at SF and Kobe/Jordan at SG) doesn't mean they won't be a roleplayer.
I've taken the back seat plenty of times for the team to win, sure I want to be a scoring option but I'm not going to cry and quit the game or chuck up shots because I'm not.

When someone says "I want to be Kobe mixed with LeBron, Durant, Curry and Anthony Davis"... it doesn't sound like they have any intention on being a role player who specialises in one area.
You need to clarify things. Because the impression given by those sort of comments is "give me the ball and watch me dribble for 20 seconds as I try to break down my defender one on one and then throw up a contested shot or poster them."
Sorry. Just the way it is. I'm not doubting what you're saying. I'm just saying people need to clarify more.Comment

Re: OFFICIAL 2K16 PRO-AM Team up thread!
In 2K11 my Crew had me, and my two closest friends irl.
We recruited/rotated our other 2 players constantly. Because some people don't understand when to just let the hot hand take over or don't understand team basketball in the least.
I'm not bragging but I honestly average about 35-40 in the Rec right now, and I cheese as little as possible..no one's perfect lol...but if someone else is hot then so be it.
I've had games where I finished with 4 points and we won by 20 and I'm cool with it.
Just saying, if you pick up some dudes that don't play right don't be afraid to drop em lol..I got a great rotation of like 7 guys now that all play right. Can't wait to climb them boards lolI don't wanna be Jordan, I don't wanna be Bird or Isiah, I don't wanna be any of those guys.
I want to look in the mirror and say I did it my way.

Re: OFFICIAL 2K16 PRO-AM Team up thread!
But that being said, if we're allowed to be in more than 1 team at a time...
Ima probably keep up being the same as I always been.
6'10 relentless scorer. Basically Kobe but as a small forward/power forward. My jumpshot is butter as long as they don't change my release. And I got a really good post game...not too many people can stop it.
Defensively I get rebounds and steals, and can lock someone down.
Just don't expect 5 or more assists so if you need a guy that passes a lot or isn't trying to be a main option I probably won't work hahaI don't wanna be Jordan, I don't wanna be Bird or Isiah, I don't wanna be any of those guys.

Re: OFFICIAL 2K16 PRO-AM Team up thread!
last year I played a 6'4 point guard, I like working as a team so I prefer a pass over a shot myself, as long as the ball is handled unselfishly by the entire team I'm happy
I'm from the EU so I'd prefer other EU players as for timezone, PSN: thenoxius, hit me up!Comment

Re: OFFICIAL 2K16 PRO-AM Team up thread!
Max height center, I tend to focus mainly on rebounding, defense, and athleticism. Aside from some putbacks and maybe an oop every once in a while, I'm probably going to defer to the rest of my team on offense.
