The animation where you are forced to fall for the UP and under kills me

But people barely made shots on me in the post or in the paint when I did hands up before patch 3 (then again I never played against 2 7'2" players with maxed inside scoring [I presume]). For some reason, those 2 guys were able to have their way with me. Anyways it shouldn't be the weakest defense. At the very least they need to decrease the chances of being called for a foul. I don't expect to never get called for one cuz refs do mess up in real life so its not a big deal to be called occasionally. Finally, they need to find a way to take out making players jump when the button wasn't pressed. Just needs to get done somehow, someway.

Another thing that bugs me about hands up defense is that lateral movement turns into snail mode. These guys are supposed to be athletes for crying out loud.

Who is the defensive guru for 2k anyway? I've seen beluba respond in a thread concerning dribbling in the paint(since that is his area) So where's our defensive guy?

          Doesn't exist.

Played alot of rec games the past 2 nights and its horrible man. Defense simply does not exist.

Guys were hitting 3's with hands in their face all night long. It makes it tough to enjoy the mode even though I really want to. I'm recruiting some more guys for 2K16 tryouts tonight so we'll see if it gets better with different players.

But I doubt it. Defense simply does not exist at the rec.
            Lineup:
            PG) Gary Payton
            SG) '95-'96 Michael Jordan
            SF) Sapphire Scottie Pippen
            PF) '95-'96 Dennis Rodman
            C) Hakeem Olajuwon

Jumping to block a dunk on animation when I press steal.

Falling over when I press steal or try to block.

Going for a charge and the guy laying the ball up past me when I press steal.

Etc etc. The mechanics on defense are terrible.

Not to mention they added over '5,000' new animations to the game but I literally see the same ones (the steal animation from behind that's always called a foul, the push over rebound animation where they call the foul on the guy who falls, feel free to add more)

Where are those 5,000 animations? Can't be crossovers because they're all the same from the last 4 years. Must be the new dances and mypark taunts which. Either way somethings gotta change or defense for next year. Please.

I really want them to bring back the ball tracking at the basket from 2K14....thought it was so odd of them to take it out...it resulted in some clunky block situations but it made guys give more thought to blindly driving at the rim...

Are you sure? if Im guarding my guy and he decides to pull up with me right there and I use the right stick, more than not he misses, if I attempt to block the shot and miss it feels as if it goes in at a higher rate.
