If he was healthy for the past 2 years and put up those numbers he did I would not be complaining about his rating and maybe even saying he is underrated. But that hasn't happened. He hasn't played more than 50 games and had 2 serious injuries in these last 2 years.

I still don't see how Kobe should be under an 85 tho lol that's the highest rated on the Lakers ; next highest prob an 80 or 81 . Yes Kobe was hurt but it's still not that great of a sample size for him to be in 82 -83 range . Fundamentally Kobe still one of the best . Let's just hope his physical ability is lowered that's all that matters to me

along with his on ball defense, 3pt shooting and moving midrange. Those are his worse shots

There's also so many other factors that goes into how he played last year. Kobe was obviously rusty to start out and had fatigued legs to end games which was to be expected given his previous injuries prevented him from working on his lower body. Then Byron burnt him out the first 2 months of the season, through all that though he had a few games where you could see he was still effective in a lot of areas.
His last 8 games though it seemed he found a balance finally but unfortunately he got hurt. In those final games he shot 37.7% from 3, 39.1% from 2 (in 6 of the 8 games he shot above 40%), averaged 14.6ppg, 7.6rpg, 8.1apg, and posted a TS% of 49.1% (season average was 47.7%). It's a small sample size, but you get the picture. Also, throughout the season he was surprisingly good at getting to the FT line even at his age averaging 7 FTA per with a FTr of 33.8% which is not far behind his career average of 38.8%.

Good question on the jersey customization front. In the last few 2Ks they've been including those special team patches when teams wear them that season. However those patches which are meant to be there for one season are pretty much there forever in our games. With the new customization tools at our disposal, I wonder if we'll be able to remove those patches after the season they're meant to commemorate or even add our own special patches to the current jerseys to celebrate special seasons?

LeBron dropped off somewhat with his extremely high shooting efficiencies.. But man after the finals I can't imagine a 94 being fair.

Curious to what TT's rebounding ratings are. LeBron out-rebounded him (and everyone else in the finals) even with Thompson being much closer to the basket more often that Bron, but I'm sure his rebounding ratings are slightly too low again like they always are.

Interesting what his guard capabilities are as well. Averaged more assists than anyone in the finals as well with his top 2 scorers OUT, and JR shooting about as well as Shaq does. Also less turnovers than Curry despite his ridiculous usage rate and playing against the top defense in the league.

I'm just not sure man. He was putting up stats like guys from the damn 60's in today's league, and against the best defense in the league, and drops to a 94 because his shooting percentages was a littler lower? So are we going to lower MJ for the year he played Seattle and his shooting/turnovers were ridiculous?

I get it that he's declined some from his "freakish" athletic stage, but he's still a top 5 athlete in the league. Feels like he's being over penalized ever since he left being the cover boy. Especially considering you simulate a season and he averages like 21, 5, 5.. 2K being fishy.

Not sure why this matters so much. These overalls aren't set in stone. Soon as some games are played, things will be adjusted accordingly.

I still feel he is the best in the league but honestly he did not have a good showing in the Finals. 94 for him is perfect. Keeping him the current best player while making him beatable.

Yeah and this too, people seem to forget that the ratings are always changing.

I'd give him a 73.....75 tops, capable of being a great bench scorer, but he's lacking majorly on the defense

Durant's only real decline was in minutes played . That's it. His efficiency and production were typical for him if you factor his minutes. He showed his improved playmaking too. The only decline attribute-wise should be durability.

Meh, don't see how 2k is punishing Lebron when he's the highest rated player, will likely still have the most badges and will probably still be the easiest player in the game to use.
