Anyone that expects to see NO foot sliding ever, including ones due blending artifacts (which is what that is), then they don't understand the current limitation of animations systems and how they resolve physics. When you get the systems that do match animation and physics PERFECTLY, then you either get unrealistic looking animations or unrealistic physical results. I'll take the visual and physical authenticity and live with some artifacts.

I know guys are excited and want to break down every piece of film to find stuff. But it's really important that you remember what I mean when I say the game is not perfect.
That does not mean all the improvements we are talking about are not real. It simply means not every single possession of every single game will everthing appear as it does in real life.
Sometimes the discussion turns from how far we advanced from the last game ot how far we are from perfection.
So just remember the improvements are real but it is still a game. Your still going to see something here or there but OVERALL this is a huge gameplay improvement over 2k15. And it is just a single development cycle.
Just a note for those who actually like games and have realistic expectations for a video game.Catch me on that #SimNation #SimHangOut Friday's @ 10:00 pm est https://www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...N7yxMiElOpMl_BComment

Re: NBA 2K16 Gameplay Blog with Scott O'Gallagher
Seriously, this is crazy. No offense to Scott, but his stuff was almost on my backburner. My interest definitely was more in tune to what Czar is gonna drop, but after reading this, and assuming Mr. President is gonna drop some goodness, I clicked that "Pre-Order" button in the PSN store, and I'm ready to rock and roll.
Assuming and hoping all of this comes to fruition, with this info, and knowing Czar is gonna have something good for us, this could be the biggest jumpt for this game in quite awhile, maybe ever. Think the boys over there need a round of applause for the work they're putting in. Like someone said earlier in this thread, most casuals won't care about this stuff, so they're doing this (I'm assuming) (partly) for us, and (mostly) to make the best, most true-to-life basketball game ever. For all the crap we sometimes give them, they should be commended for putting in this much effort.
I'm sure there will be kinks (aren't there always?), but hopefully they're few and far between, and we get ourselves an all-time great sports video game with NBA 2K16. Can't wait.Comment

Blow my mind that THIS segment has not been touched on much in this thread...
What’s the best part of it all? It can be updated throughout the season! Yup, it’s no different than a roster update. Don’t expect them to happen as often, but if we notice trends throughout the league or specific team, expect a change. This is also something I would love to hear from you about, what defensive trends are YOU seeing from your favorite team?Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Gameplay Blog Wth Scott O'Gallagher
Having just read this blog, I cant even express the elation. All I can say is that this NBA 2K team inspires me, just generally on a life level. I'm a construction engineer and not even remotely in the same profession but I am inspired to work hard and enjoy and use my talents.
When you see a company do all of this (that they didnt need to do) out of pure love. It makes you think to yourself that you really are no different in how much you can accomplish if you never settle for mediocrity. Bravo 2K, I cant wait to play this game.Comment

To everyone here:
Without getting too sentimental, I appreciate all of you. Let's keep the momentum going... also keep in mind that these adjustments can be updated throughout the year.
I'll repeat, this is just the foundation that was laid this year.
The party is just getting started for you 2K sim heads out there.

Such a small but great detail. Really adds to everything, also the scoreboards have a minor update as they removed the random colored background behind team logos. Makes it look a bit cleaner.Comment
