I'm really hoping this carries over to MyCareer too i.e. If I'm the best scorer will they put their best defender on me and vice versa.

Now this here is just ridiculous. It seems the importance of not just having one defensive stopper, but multiple, could really become an effective way to shut down the opposing star players.

2k, you guys have outdone yourselves

Agreed. So hyped for that. So much good stuff in this blog and like 24th said, I don't know how the hell I am going to score lol. For MC, hopefully your teammates are much better.

2K11 is really looking like it's in trouble. Did not think it would be passed up anytime soon. 2K16 is looking like it will take that spot.

This is amazing. I'm a guy that does A LOT of fantasy drafts in 2k and likes to make his teams revolve around great defense. In the past, that was basically a fruitless endeavor unless I just had a bunch of Gold Badge defensive guys, but even then the post players were basically interchangeable.

      Not now.

Now I can feel free to make the most fan-freaking-tastic defensive team of all-time with Dikembe Mutombo playing both PF and Center and swatting every shot from the three point line to the basket.

This was the point if my post about the live updates. He said updated like the roster. Can you imagine seeing a special defensive assignment in the real world playoffs put into the game shortly thereafter?! Crazy!

That definitely looked very much like Curry. He seemed a little stuck in mud, but the body guesture felt really authentic. Maybe it's because he's correctly proportioned, or maybe because he has his own complete dribbling package. If so, that would be amazing.

                1. How do you know that? They haven't shown anything in that regard.

                2. If that's true. So be it. They can't be the best at everything after all. I'll take gameplay, game mode depth and customisation over sneakers and crowd noise. But everyone has their own preference so each to their own. I'll probably end up buying both anyway. Hopefully the Live demo is as good as the trailer made it look.

Looking at the clips, the player to court ratio looks fine to me.

It's been fine. It's the way the players are spacing the court and moving with purpose that makes the spacing look great in these vids....

I'm also noticing windows I didn't feel existed in prior games because of the new movement. There were these perfect windows on the P&R with Steph and CP3. With Steph after he got around DJ I felt you could pull up for a shot without feeling cheated by the defense recovering somehow and with CP3, Blake rolled hard and there was a window for a whip or bounce pass to Blake right as he had Scola on his left hip and Lowry hadn't recovered yet.

                          All this is very dissapointing...

that 2K doesn't have a NFL license and the EA team only adds a few new pass animations every dev cycle. Imagine all this defensive glory and adjustments in a football game omg.

We should all tweet this post to the Madden dev team.

I won't be happy unless ball handlers can split the pick and roll this year. If we can't do that we can't imitate 40% of pick and roll offense and also the best point guards in the game.

If we can't split the pick, that also means that we still don't have full control over out players and can't make quick change of direction moves.

Defensive aspects of 2K were considered the red-headed step-child. No more.

I think I am as hyped for this year's title as I was for 2K10, and I never thought a new title would break through my rose-tinted glasses of yesteryear.

                                Well done everyone.
