Is there any workaround for teams wearing black socks in the game that should be wearing white socks instead? I tried using ankle wraps but that leaves black still poking out and ankle braces are large.

    Appreciate any help.

Thanks, sir. Didn't think of going no socks then adding the wraps as subs. Worked like a charm.

I hope 2k18 improves on the bodies & signature moves of the classic players. The faces look decent but the bodies are off.

I've searched on YouTube but haven't seen good footage of classic teams. I passed on the game this year but would love to get it next year. What's the verdict? Were the old school players better this year than in the past? I love using the 80's & 90's guys since that when I started playing these games. I'd love to know players like Magic, Worthy, Ewing, Wilkins, Kemp, Malone, & Jordan were done well & had some specific moves.

I think the bodies may have actually taken a step back in some cases, but that's sort of a game-wide thing. 2K17 unveiled new body types and some of the skinny guys ended up looking real skinny. For instance, Kevin Willis has a "skinny" body type for some reason but he was jacked in real life.

Classic teams from 2000 on forward are pretty well done. It appears they were created from the ground up for next-gen and it shows. There's still some imperfections but some of the faces are close to life-like.

The 90's teams and prior made really slow progress this year. Play style is still touch and go but they did finally upgrade a number of the faces that were in dire need of reconfiguration. That said, the pre-2000's teams have awful arena atmospheres and big details are still missing in odd places (ex: Will Perdue's profile picture on the '89 Bulls is actually a photo of Charles Davis playing for the Bucks). Also, the pre-2000's arenas are inexplicably dark and lost most of the life they had in 2K12. And there's jersey inconsistencies (like the Pistons' photo a few posts up.

            Some face examples though:

            The mostly similar:

            The slightly unsettling:

            The ugly:

Thankfully, if you're a Pistons guy, someone made an incredible Joe Dumars from scratch.

              Ahhh this thread!!!

So.....will this be it? Will THIS finally be the first year since 2k13 they'll get Jordan looking right?

Ever since we moved onto 'next gen' I've been expecting big things in terms of updates to the legends, but it just seems as every year has gone on, they've lost more and more attention. Granted, 2k17 was cool in respect of updating cyberfaces - but a lot more needs to be done. I know time, money and resources are at work, but c'mon. We've had 4 games since we hit this gen, surely the legend should be getting some sig moves, sig animations, accurate courts etc?

I'm with you man. It looks like they're finally taking he uniforms seriously. I'm really hoping that attention to detail spills over to legends as well. At the very least, body types and uniforms.

I know I brought this up in the other thread but I feel like it's worth re-iterating in the unofficial official classic teams thread. I didn't realize how bad the classic team lighting was these days until I upgraded to the current gen console. It seems it's mostly the pre-2000's teams with the issue, but they're basically playing in a dark arena, which is kind of obnoxious looking in comparison to real life and each arena's last-gen counterpart:

At this point, I'm mostly interested to see if they've actually given ANY of the legends the signature treatment - from basket celebrations to personal moves, just to show some seperation from one another.

I miss the days where we used to see Steve Nash bring the ball up court, licking his hands. Or Dikembe wagging the finger after a block. Jordan getting the D on their toes with the one handed ball fake.

Just look at the crazy signature stuff the legends had in the 2k12 trailer below:

They took out MJ's one handed ball fake in 2K 12 though.
Only respectable people deserve respect, you destroyed the game.

They did indeed, but he still had 'The Move' at least.

I'm not sure they are going to correct all the errors at this point. They make some changes for this and that every year, but since it's no longer an important feature (as it was on last gen), I wouldn't expect too much.

Dave, expect the worse...that's the only way you might have a nice surprise.

Dave, keep fighting the good fight!

EDIT: I'm not sure what the Shaq covers mean for this, but I would be very surprised if they put effort into the old-school players. It's like they just add a few names into the mix and just throw this into the game. The attention hasn't been there in years. I don't expect anything different this year, unfortunately. Would love to be wrong.
