2k11/12 had their perks, but gameplay wise, 2k16 is on top of the mountain for me.
Coming off a game against the Bad boys earlier - Not sure if they were using the Jordan Rules (As the devs said that's in the game) but after MJ was burning Dumars, Rodman switched over and locked me up, with Laimbeer taking me out at the rim. Was in credible stuff!-----------------------------------------

Ha! It wasn't pretty. Managed to score 33 still, but Rodman was really sticking it MJ.
Just posted up a topic on the main section - any of you guys remember the Devs saying 'The Jordan rules' were featured in the game this year? Reason I ask, I've looked at every menu option in game on the defensive end, and I can't for the life of me find any option for this. You guys stumbled across it at all?-----------------------------------------

Dave, your videos/posts made me want to watch some old school NBA. So yesterday I watched an old (real NBA) full game on youtube - Bulls@Sixers from the 1990 playoffs (Pippen was injured). I enjoyed every minute of it, even though it wasn't the most exciting game. MJ didn't even seem to have his best game (though he scored over 40 pts with 11 assists and about 5-6 rebounds...but didn't even look like he was giving everything...could have scored another 10 points). The Bulls were down most of the game but came back to win in the 4th. Ed Nealy was the MVP...
Barkley was a BEAST, Hawkins was awesome, and even Stacey King was having a great game.
MJ was wearing the 'bizarro' calf sleeve...for some reason.
Whoever uploaded it even kept some of the commercials. It was so fun to watch it. I miss those days...
Also saw one of those old NBA promos. The one with the classical music and ballet scenes, and players dunking in slow motion. I wish 2K had some of those in between quarters.My Specs:

I have a lot of down time at work so I spend that watching retro NBA games. Wouldn't have it any other way.
There's a guy on youtube who uploads tons and tons of full games - his accounts do end up getting busted by the youtube 'police' but he always has backups at the ready. I use it for reference for doing my roster edits here.
Type in 'Al Groz' in youtube and it should bring up his 'adequate' library of games.
Gonna attempt to do dunk package edits for Kemp, Carter and Mcgrady today....-----------------------------------------

MJ legs are 2 dark esp on the younger versions of him because the shorts are short. His legs don't match his upper body tone, other than that he would good enough.
On the other hand man anybody got a cap for joe dumars he looks jacked up, I have to do him justice and create a cap, I hope they patch theseComment

I don't know about you guys, but when I play against the classic bulls teams MJ don't play like MJ, he don't drive to the hole for the younger version and the older MJ doesn't do his patent fadeaway at all, seems like pippen is the number one option because MJ just passes the ball to scottie and pippen shoots way more..
Anybody notice this, do I have to correct a setting, I'm playing on all star, tell me y'all experience this also
88 pistons don't need the jordan rules on this game because MJ barely shoots on this game.Comment

As a fellow MJ fanatic, I believe I remember why he wore the bizarro calf sleeve for that particular series:
The Bulls were known for wearing black shoes in the playoffs, and other teams started to imitate that. A Bulls player made a remark about that to the media, and Charles Barkley sarcastically shot back and asked if the 76ers should have worn pink shoes instead of black. So if you notice, some (not all) of the Bulls switched to all red accessories after Barkley's comment: some who wore white wristbands switched to red, some who wore black compression shorts switched to red, & Jordan turned his knee sleeve inside out so that it was red with a black top.
On a side note, I had that same knee sleeve growing up; the brand True Fit still makes it. Plus, you will see MJ occasionally wearing the bizarro calf sleeve in pictures even in the late 90s, although he wore it on the black side with a red top the majority of the time.

Great post, thank you for the info. Yeah, I think the commentators did say something about black shoes, but I was so into the game that I wasn't really listening. The game was from May 13, 1990. The Bulls made a nice comeback.
