Re: Will MJ actually look like MJ this year?
Hey guys, I haven't been able to have a lot of time with 2K16 this year but the little I've encountered, I've really, really liked. The extra classics are outstanding and even given some of the bigger missteps (1989 Pistons have wrong thing written on chest), I must absolutely give my respect for other details they cared enough to contribute (putting the horsepower head on the 2004 Pistons shorts when they could have easily just left the "P" from the current pair).
Anyhow, I have one game play question for you guys (figured it'd work best here since I fear it'd get lost and I wouldn't be able to find it in any other threads):
The Question: Being relatively new to next gen, is there anything that can be done about the sluggishness of the defensive controls? Or is that just the next gen momentum taking place and whatnot? I feel like I can't stay in front of anybody right now because the moment I press to go in one direction, the offensive player has changed directions before my guy responds. Is it a Defensive Assist thing? Or any other tips? I assume I just need to get used to the system but thought I'd ask.
Also, is it also common for a defensive player to press jump beneath the basket but not always have it respond immediately? Almost as if the game is purposely making you late on arrival?
Thanks in advance.
Ahh the dreaded input delay that causes the late jump - yep, I get that a lot - really annoying!!!-----------------------------------------

Re: Will MJ actually look like MJ this year?
Been a long season, but finally got there......All 6 full games in case anyone is interested.
Now I've got the herculean task of redoing my roster to accommodate the Bulls and Magic alt jerseys.....Oh joy.

Right there with you - downloaded the latest roster, just edited the 96 Bulls roster/sigs/dunk packages etc and the shoes for every current day team.
Playing another season with them against today's teams.
Least I've got the Alt jersey now!!!

Re: Will MJ actually look like MJ this year?
Am really hoping they've got things right this year and included ALL the legend teams alt jerseys this time around.
Was so frustrating having to wait over half a year for them to patch this AFTER I'd spent MONTHS editing a roster that the jerseys couldn't be plugged into.
Here's hoping the legends get some more love this year!!-----------------------------------------

Just saw this thread again. I think I spent here some time last year, and hopefully devs are still reading this. Keep fighting the good fight, Dave.My Specs:

Re: Will MJ actually look like MJ this year?
Besides improving the classic players faces... Please update the bulkness of MJ's leg sleeve and better placement, also thin legs for the late 90s MJ
Another elbow band version (longer) would be nice too

Re: Will MJ actually look like MJ this year?
I think that during the 1997-98 season MJ wore shorter socks (a-la T-Mac), which is why his legs seemed skinnier/longer (though he may have lost some weight before that season, to go back to what he was before retirement).
Unlike the early 90's MJ, who wore longer socks:
Also, I'll say this again: We need the MJ red-black calf sleeve as a knee pad as well. Late 80's MJ wore it like this:

Re: Will MJ actually look like MJ this year?
Custom/signature celebrations.
I don't want to see Mike dancing or chest bumping team mates after a huge play. He NEVER did that. (Remember that awkward moment when he hit the 'game winning' shot in the allstar game and Iverson chest bumped him.....lol)
We should have signature reactions like THE shrug (Not the generic shrug already in game) definitely the iconic fist pump, and also I LOVE Jordan's 'in rhythm', back peddling jog, with either the tongue wagging or a smile.

Re: Will MJ actually look like MJ this year?
^Great idea. Did 2K ever get around to adding back the unique shiny jersey numbers for those early 90's Bulls teams?
Anywho, here's a bump of some observations I made earlier in the thread, in terms of who may need some work and which jerseys need adjusting (1989 Pistons!)
SpoilerA couple more to add to the drawing board.
1991 Tim Hardaway:
1991 Mark Price... though I don't hold that against next gen, because he was one of the few on last gen who always looked mind-blowingly atrocious as well.
1986 Bill Walton (not a bad '77 Walton, though)
Also, those 1989 Pistons jerseys are jaaaaacked up.

That said, with some perseverance, I think I helped get the Bulls black/red pinstripe alts and the Magic Blue/white pinstripe alts put in the game. I'm hoping they'll be included from the get go this time around.
Great examples ^ Tim Hardaway is in need of a serious overhaul.
I'd most definitely add Patrick Ewing, John Starks and Latrell Sprewell to that list too.-----------------------------------------
