Re: Will MJ actually look like MJ this year?
What level of signature animations and celebrations was 2K16 at, in terms of classic teams? For the past few years it has felt as though the signature stuff, especially with classics, has dwindled. But then again, I've only had a chance to play a small amount. I was at least slightly surprised to see Vince Carter had a clockwise 360, but I can't remember if it was truly his 360 or just luck of the draw in terms of the game having a generic clockwise animation and applying it to him.
Is there anything signature about any of the other classic players (aside from Michael Jordan, since I know he has a few)? Like, is Shaq's signature logo slam still there for those moments after he power drop steps? Does Allen Iverson have his specific crossover dribble? Karl Malone have his high-release-but-not-super-exaggerated fallaway? Is Mutombo's finger wave in there?
Seems like there's such potential there. Even just super-authentic dunk packages for guys like Shawn Kemp and Vince Carter would be incredible. A lot of times, using those two players feels like I'm just dunking with a generic incredible dunker instead of actually dunking with Vince Carter or Shawn Kemp.
We've lost pretty much all the animations that made players stand out.
*Jordan's one handed ball fake.
*MJ's classic switch of hands layup (The Move).
*Several of MJ's layups from his original package in 2k11/12.
*Hakeem No longer has his 'Dream Shake'.
*No finger wave from Dikembe.
*No dunk packages as there USED to be for Carter, Kemp and Wilkins.
*Iverson doesn't have his signature crossover.
The list goes on.
You'd think that in the transition to more powerful consoles, they'd be including MORE content like this, instead, they're removing it to the point where the legends are starting to feel generic now.
As much as it's painful to go back and play older 2k's because they just feel so off, control wise, all this really makes me miss 2k11/2k12.
Hell, even 2k13 - especially when they managed to mod the codes to it and tons of legends were added that were previously locked on the disk.
One of my video's below from 2k12 - BEAUTIFUL..........(And yeah, before one of you beady eyed gentlemen points it out - I wasn't recreating the finals here, hence the white shoes)

Yea that needs to be addressed asap. Or allow us to edit. I miss the era filter ala 2k12. That vhs feel when you play a 90s era team.Comment

If you picture Jordan with downs, then yes, MJ will look like MJ this year.Comment

The plan all along was to rival 2k11's Jordan mode, so now they'll release GOAT EDITION for $400 complete with a piece of his used chewing gum in a Chicago Bulls gold plated carry case!!!
Too much?-----------------------------------------

Must say I love to hang around with you this time of year. You're much fun around these parts, don't take things too serious and knows how to laugh.
There are others too but we had as much fun last year as well.
Now, back to hashtagging.
