Re: My Player Attributes
Are the attributes the exact same from what we know? Like Post Control, Standing Layup, etc.? There's no new ones or any that were removed?Comment

Re: My Player Attributes
yea I hate this cuz I would make my dude with no dunking until the end. I'd have a crazy vert, D, have a little shot, and go up like... head above the rim lay ups. It became like 'my thing.' I miss that. I miss going against the grain.
I do think they need attribute upgrades, and caps. You should probably be able to upgrade any stat to anything 'within reason', it'll just cost a lot. So if you wanted a 7'3 C with 95 in 3 point shooting, he would have to have the lowest possible rating in every other category.
I just feel duped by the fact that the rating system could be so much more diverse. Last year was bad. It was too easy to grab rebounds as a small guy, you could have like 100 badges... makes no sense. I dunno if I'm gonna get it or not.

Re: My Player Attributes
ut thats fantasy land 7'3 center with 95 3 point shot when ever u have online competitive play things have to have some sort of balance .this is why u have offline modes , myleauge and you can make a player anyways you want and play a franchise on your own . but making a center that better or good as Curry in 3 point shooting is 100% fantasy and make it your own thing you enjoy! but i do see and ill take some of it back you said a good think lower there other skills ok now this could be alot more reasonable . but i say still a limit like 85 3 point shotyea I hate this cuz I would make my dude with no dunking until the end. I'd have a crazy vert, D, have a little shot, and go up like... head above the rim lay ups. It became like 'my thing.' I miss that. I miss going against the grain.

Re: My Player Attributes
Weight and height matters.... May not be the best thing to make your center 7'3" but who really knows until we get the game.Comment

Re: My Player Attributes
So for a shooting guard, if I want to make him as athletic as possible to start with but still be able to achieve an elite mid-range game down the road, what scoring style do I choose?
Really wish 2K would give us a spreadsheet of attribute caps.Comment

Re: My Player Attributes
1. I'm not a fan of the categories or actually i am, just not in their current form. There should be more of them and the attributes within them should be upgrade-able separately. The only reason to have them is to choose your strengths and weaknesses at the start. Still.. even with them in the game as they are now, i don't see why they can't just make it so that when you don't select any dunk animations you're player simply won't dunk. Maybe even let us choose alley oop packages as well so we can turn those off to or set them to layups. I've been wanting to make a 6'9 sf who never dunks for years now, just all kinds of crafty layups.1.yea I hate this cuz I would make my dude with no dunking until the end. 2. If i understand you correctly, i agree. My thought is to let us choose strengths/average/weaknesses (categories) at the beginning. If you want a strength that has nothing to do with your position (like shooting for a center) you can pick it but it will be your only strength, they you can have a couple categories that are average and the rest bad. If you pick categories that are typical for your position you can have more strengths etc. But obviously to determine all of those combinations per position and then incorporating height and weight will require a lot of brainstorming, which i'm not gonna do.
3. I agree the ratings could be better but i also appreciate that they took a step in the right direction by getting rid of oversized players that are good at everything. 2k17 will hopefully take another step and so on until they finally manage to develop the right formula. The rebounding annoyed me as well, getting boxed out by 6' guards and whatnot but that's a gameplay issue and it's been that way for years. They'll fix it eventually, hopefully this year.Comment

Re: My Player Attributes
That would've been nice or just show it to us in the creation screen.
As for your sg i would guess outside scoring but don't take my word for it. I think athleticism has more to do with height and maybe weight. Anyone know if weight been confirmed to have an impact? You should probably try to make a few different models though and see for yourself before beginning your career. I'll be doing the same for my pf, i just hope we can go straight to the attribute upgrades after creation and don't have to sit through a 10 min cutscene or something like that.Comment

Re: My Player Attributes
Don't believe the hype being tall is better than ever this year. People are focusing on all the negatives but let's look at the positives. Taller players have higher rebounding and block caps and post defense. The game actually incentives being taller you just have to know how to play big!
