3 Reasons I can never give up my XBOX 360 or ps3

NBA 2k11, NBA 2k12 and NBA 2k13. 3 of my most beloved video games of all time. When my 360 or ps3 dies, I'm dead in the water, and I will always need to have a 360 or ps3 to play any of these games. Just showing everyone the love for this series I have. I'm sure there are a few like me who dread the day their past gen console dies. I'm sinceretly thinking about keeping one on the shelf for the next "dead console" I can't live without the greatness of these titles!

You will always be able to by a new 360 console so there's no real problem. I still have a NES and a SNES that still work.

This is why I like PC gaming so much. No matter how much I upgrade, every PC game ever released is still playable.

You will always be able to by a new 360 console so there's no real problem. I still have a NES and a SNES that still work.

Well , I think there will be a one day they won't be manufactured anymore, and I don't have luck buying used consoles, they have never worked right for me.

Will we be able to play the NBA 2K games on the Xbox 360 on
the Xbox One now that it's gonna be backwards compatible soon?

I've got the red ring of death on my 360 but would love to play
NBA 2K11 and 2K13 on my Xbox One sometime.

I've still been giving NBA 2K12 some run of late. I'm contemplating going back and doing The Jordan Challenge in 2K11 once again as well. I'm pretty excited about the new classic teams in NBA 2K16 but to this point, I'm not sure I'm $500-on-a-new-console-and-peripherals excited. I've been thinking a new Red Dead Redemption might finally push me over the edge.

Until then, I may try to get by on playing 2K16 at my younger brothers' house when I visit.

Xbox One is making a lot of games backwards compatible... no word on any old 2K games yet.

If so though, you would only need to download those old games to your Xbox One from the cloud and you would no longer need your 360.

2k is listed as one of the publishers that will support backwards compatibility on Xbox One so heres hoping we will be able to play 2k11 and 2k12 on the xbox one. I just transitioned xbox once I heard about backwards compatibility.

the very fact that there is no reshash / resigning tool like modio or horizon release yet for xbox one. Its crazy the files are the same there is hex editing on 2k15 on pc and a tool for pc to be released soon.

they never seem to make sports games BC for some reason. Maybe has something to do with copyright or licensing issues, but I don't know what the rules are for that.

I miss CH2k8 dearly, really hope at some point we get a new CHoops game from 2k, or even EA for that matter, as I miss CHoops. Id much rather play College basketball than Pro basketball if I had to choose 1.

As I said in the MJ thread I never would have sold my PS3 with NBA 2K11 & 12 if I had known 2K wouldn't give the classic teams attention/high level of detail on next-gen consoles. Figured I would be safe getting rid of them because it's not like the graphics for the legendary players would get any worse, it'd only be better. Famous last words...
