Re: NBA 2K16 Features Play Now Online
It's just safer to assume it's broken, IMHO.
OT, this looks really fun (like the progression system). I will likely forget about it as I go through all the rest of the modes.
It's going to take me more than a year to get through everything in this game, so I hope they don't expect me to get 2k17 ... it'll have to blow this one out of the water for me to invest in it.Comment

That's some great news and very well enhanced mode!
Hopefully next year 2k let us choose our opponent play style in terms of sliders and level just as Fifa does for years when going into the game you choose a game of assisted / semi-assisted / manual so it matches you up someone exact to your preference.
So basically all 2k needs to do with it is to make sure preferences added as follows
Level: Rookie / Pro / All-Star / Superstar / HOF
Sliders: Casual / Default / SimulationComment

Re: NBA 2K16 Features Play Now Online
I'm loving all of this. I love that they are actually paying attention to HOW you play (which teams you use, etc.) rather than just how many cheese wins you can rack up. This is a good way to make sure online is more about quality play than cheesing with superstar teams every game.
I also love that we can FINALLY use classic teams online. I don't know why you couldn't in previous games.Comment

Great feature. Too bad my time will be almost completely taken up by MyCareer/Pro-Am/4v4 Park/MyTeam.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Features Play Now Online
I have been the BIGGEST advocate of input lag/server issues for 2k since forever. It was my biggest problem with them that always held me back from enjoying the game.
I switched to direct Ethernet connection for 15 and I can honestly say it helped a lot. There was still a tiny delay, you cant play much on ball D, but it was bearable and a big improvement from WiFi. WiFi is unplayable and if you are in college still, chances are your connection will suck either way.
I feel your pain tho I dealt with that all through college days, luckily you have more buds around to not need online.

Re: NBA 2K16 Features Play Now Online
I like the fact that 2K is trying to fix the issue of always playing people who pick the same teams over and over when you play someone online. That alone is one of the reason's I've stayed away from online play for the past few years. Pretty cool to be able to unlock classic teams to play online with.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Features Play Now Online
I've gotten to the point that I just assume it's going to be broken until it's proven not to be. Even if it all works on Friday, I still won't believe it until Wednesday (after the official launch). And even if it all works then the servers still have to survive Black Friday, then Christmas ...
It's just safer to assume it's broken, IMHO.
