Re: NBA 2K16 Tutorials: Request, Discussion, and Answer Thread
The truth of the matter is transition defense isn't a you problem but a CPU ai becauseI need help with playing transition D in online quick matches.
I'm getting killed in PIP simply because guys are sprinting down the court and getting easy buckets before I can even get my defense set. It even happens after I score and they inbound the ball, smh.
Also, offensive rebounding.
I play with Detroit and I've barely had any offensive rebounds in any of my games.
One more thing, how is everybody getting these deflections? I understand if I throw a bad pass that it'll result in a steal, but sometimes defenders seem to come out of nowhere and do a crazy animation to jump, reach, strip, or deflect a pass for a steal.
I'm trying to utilize to lob and bounce passes but I'm not having much success yet.
1. Defenders try and switch to the people they suppose to guard while on transition leaving guys wide open on transition
2. Sometimes players don't guard anyone just stand under the basket guarding no one during transition which also lead to numerous defensive 3 second calls.

This will be to tough since every roster makeup and the way they attack you is different. Whether I will continue to make defensive settings tutorials for specific teams so you guys can have a point of reference for the top squads you will face. Any team you really wanna see first for defensive settings in particular ??

What is your most successful freelance offensive strategy? I've tried 3 out extended and triangle. I mostly played with triangle last year but it doesn't seem to be doing the trick for me this year

Triangle is still a mystery to me this year, once i figure it out i plan to make a tutorial for it
Vs AI a 3 Extended Pick and fade attack is my favourite go to. VS users however it seems a 4-1 space the floor with stretch 4 is still the best ? I am studying swing motion + 7 seconds or less currently; these two are good against users too. Swing motion is the best for longer games; like proper 48 minute games.

Don't know if this was answered yet, but can you make a tutorial on how to get past the cpu defense? It's like they're glued to you, and it's so frustrating, especially for my career.
And before you suggest pick and roll, it doesn't help, either the pick is too early or too late, and 80 percent of the time, the defender still gets to me. I also had about 5 time in mycareer where i get a play with a double pick set up for me, and still have the defender on me.
It wasn't such a problem if you could use custom sliders on mycareer, because having cpu on ball D on 0 makes the lockdown defenders seperate from not so good ones.Comment

Thanks. I've been having success with 3 extended so I'll continue that until you master the triangle hahaTriangle is still a mystery to me this year, once i figure it out i plan to make a tutorial for it

Quick correction to the above...
Last year was X + A to fake pass on the Xbox One.
This year it has been moved to Y + B
If the buttons correlate to PS4 that would be Triangle and O, correct?
Just wanted to get the correct info out there!Comment

Ah, thanks for letting me know bro. Oversight on my part, apologies
This goes to show I rarely fake pass this year for some reason lol I think it has to do with the passing being so much better, I feel like I can make most of the passes I see respect to 2k for that.

Re: NBA 2K16 Tutorials: Request, Discussion, and Answer Thread
The most effective move to separate this year is to dribble hard one way and then spin the other way. This is especially deadly if it's done within a pick and roll. Run your defender into the pick first and then spin back to the open side. This is kinda cheesy tho because it can be really effective; I am still working on this tutorial because I don't want to show cheese hahaDon't know if this was answered yet, but can you make a tutorial on how to get past the cpu defense?
