Re: NBA 2K16 Available Today, Post Your Impressions Here
Fun game. Also happy that even though Remote Play didn't utilize R3 and L3 on the front touch screen, at the very least they had the audacity to put R2 and L2 on the triggers, so it makes it playable.
One weird thing going on in RP, though. Every time I try to go for a spin move, a timeout is called. This is only happening on Remote Play. What is this controller interference that is making this happen?Samsung PN60F8500 PDP / Anthem MRX 720 / Klipsch RC-62 II / Klipsch RF-82 II (x2) / Insignia NS-B2111 (x2) / SVS PC13-Ultra / SVS SB-2000 / Sony MDR-7506 Professional / Audio-Technica ATH-R70x / Sony PS3 & PS4 / DirecTV HR44-500 / DarbeeVision DVP-5000 / Panamax M5400-PM / Elgato HD60Comment

I think it really is more based on your opponent. The Pacers were driving like crazy on me. They had 50 of 90 points in the paint. Then next game the Celtics were shooting from everywhere which led to only 35 points in the paint.2016 NLL Champion Saskatchewan Rush

Very impressed. A lot that needs to be said both positively and negatively has been said.
For me, what stands out the most (and is always the first thing I look for) is team specific play styles and the immersion factor.
So far so good. Playing against the big man Philly Sixers was a vastly different experience than playing the shooting heavy champions.
Really enjoyed how I saw Curry looking for his points. I guarded him primarily with Chris Paul and that was the only successful match up. Playing tight on him kept Curry off the three point line but the Warriors are so efficient. So many weapons. Instead they killed me on pick and rolls.
The difference in speed is incredible just from seeing Draymond Green waltz pass me as Blake when defending him at the three point line. And when I started sagging off, he just drilled a three instead. Not sure how anyone in real life is beating this team for the next half decade.
Also pissed me off watching Green celebrate his baskets and And 1s while up by like 30 in the 4th. And he was the only one. So Green. I love the guy in real life but I can see why some hate him.
I got blown out in that match up but I know I have a lot to learn. I feel as if I started playing bad basketball to win games in 2k15. My biggest complaint was it felt like street ball was the only remedy to scoring.
So far I have had no success with that broken logic and I'm glad. I need to Re learn patience and setting up my offense. I couldn't be happier.
On a somewhat different note, my girlfriend, ever the critic in my playing video games but still understanding enough to know I enjoy doing so, walked in on me playing and seemed utterly impressed. Now this is the usual story where someone that doesn't care about video games is always super surprised with the presentation and graphics. I mean her first comment was, "this looks sick. Much better than the last basketball video game I've seen: NBA Jam." (Yes folks the original Jam. This is what I'm working with here!) But the point is she was impressed with the commentary (just shows we are so wrapped up in this that we forgot how impressive it really is), and the post game interview.
"Does he (Klay Thompson) really sound like that?"
"Yeah."
"Where is he from? It's weird."
Girlfriends. Gotta love them.

Wife: "Jesus, your playing that game still?"
Me: "I'll turn it off so we can watch pretty little liars hun."2016 NLL Champion Saskatchewan Rush

How that should help because I didn't know that and so to often when I would double team I would have some one I don't want do the double and end of having a great shooter left open in stead of letting a bad shooter be the one left open.Comment

I've played probably 10 6 minute quarter games and I don't think the CPU has shot more than 30% from deep in any of them.
Other issues: not enough offensive rebounds or fouls.Last edited by mrprice33; 09-27-2015, 12:40 AM.Comment

If I can give one tip on the p'n'r is don't rush them. See how the onball defender is playing you first. If he ices you have the side lane open, you can take it, and see how the big plays you. Often you'll have a jumper, or you can hit the roll men. P'n'fades really hurt the ice defense too.Comment
