Re: Official 2K16 MyCareer Badges thread

I drew 5 charges so far!

    Westbrook
    Bledsoe
Jeff Teague 2x in 1 game
    Mudiay

2 more for that charge card!

EDIT: Westbrook was off an aggressive drive out of post
    Bledsoe was off pnr
    Teague was both off pnr
Mudiay was in ISO situation in the middle between half court & 3 point line

EDIT: Drew my 6th charge on Shabazz Napier off pnr
EDIT: Drew my 7th and final charge on Mike Conley off pnr...

So best way is to play PRO Sim and set up for a charge on the side of the CPU setting the screen. Ball handler CPU almost ALWAYS attempts to drive to the basket resulting in a much higher chance. You can play on default and still draw charges, but I got all of mine on PRO Sim and got them all in a span of 10 games 2nd season.

That's 66 badges now and still need that 1 loose ball save for scrapper!

I just got offensive crasher as a 6'3 PG at exactly 150 off rebounds. That's 65 badges now!

3.4...I got it around my 40th game in my 2nd season. It really helps to have offensive crasher. I notice it play a HUGE role in ProAm when I crash for rebounds and my player is able to avoid boxout situations. I can get 2-3 off rebounds every time in ProAm and that's really good for a 6'3 PG a foot shorter than the Centers.

It is an asset but like My Caeer, I don't crash offensive boards much. In Pro Am, I usually am one to run back and not crash offensive boards unless I'm attempting to rebound my own attempt near the rim.

At any rate, it is an asset but not one I see myself obtaining even as a SG and this based on me simply not playing in such a way that would reach the target numbers.

There is a thread about My Player play styles and this badge is one I would reserve to bigs (5,4,3) in the future. A PG or SG being an overzealous offensive crasher is not conducive to effective transition defense that would limit fast breaks.

MJ, Oscar, these are two guys who come to mind that might have been close to achieving the average you have. I suggest these two because of how uniquely all-around they were as Guards.

Depending on who u play with or against, the badge helps in your favor. Maybe your cutting to the basket as the shot is going up and you happen to be there ready to boxout and grab the board. You have big men on your team that don't crash for off rebounds so you do it to get extra possession. I see what you mean to get back in transition, but you got to just communicate if u have a mic and tell whoever to get back on D if u just happen to be in the paint crashing for rebounds.

Also, I understand what you mean that only front court players should get it. I actually agree and am the one keeping the playstyles thread alive and dictating which badges can go to whom, ratings, etc. I'm in the process of editing for an easy read, create a new thread I can call my own, then present it to the 2k development team somehow. It is something I happen to enjoy and be passionate about at the moment so we'll see how far I can get with it.

What tips can you give about obtaining the loose ball saves to get Scrapper? I'm working on this as well.

TBH none lol. I got all 3 by pure luck. There's a video on YouTube from last year on how to get it by having on court coach badge and calling for alley oops and allowing it to sail out of bounds. Maybe there is a play u can call to set up for a lob to get your players away from the painted area and defenders as well so u gotta better chance of chasing it down and saving it.

Throw lobs to yourself on a fast break to speed up the process. This is how I got it. You can also get lob city passer throwing the oop to yourself as well. If you're a slow big man then obviously it's going to be harder.

Nah I got it on my big man. Using my SG and I've been throwing lobs to myself. Also have received a few from Lebron .Maybe it's because my dunk is a 66?

Trying to get my acrobat on my big man. I don't even think it's worth the trouble. I did three reverse layups in the first quarter and they all got blocked

Have it on my PG and SG but I don't think I'm going to bother with it this year on my Center.
