First time grinding for this badge and man it was a hell of a ride lol my player was hype in the game: he knew he had clinched it lol
*Reading the 2k16 Badge Guide, it's apparent we can earn this badge soon as we hit 200 assists within 25 games and do not need to wait for the 25th game to arrive. I was able to hit 200 assists in my 13th game and subsequently I was rewarded the badge at the conclusion of the 13th game in the current season.

Re: Official 2K16 MyCareer Badges thread
Relentless Finisher is another badge nullified by slider tuning in Pro Am - the mode is devoid of both the Relentless and Finisher sides lol
Gym Rat drew skepticism from week 1 of early release but with more slider tuning and patching: the finisher badges have been weakened to the point of near non effective - even oops are watered down.
Ah well, I was not one to ask for these abilities to be nerfed. This apparently is what some folks wanted and still want more finishing abilities to be nerfed, ehh.
Finishing in the paint has been nerfed and people still want to nerf shooting as well. What kind of game are some envisioning??? 😳

Re: Official 2K16 MyCareer Badges thread
Anyone got break starter on pf/c and could tell if its worth to get it ?
I'd be able to get it on my PF if i spend 4 more points into playmaking, but i sacrifice those 4 points from rebounding or inside late levels. I hope the passing/reb requirement values correct there.Comment

Re: Official 2K16 MyCareer Badges thread
Ok, so I've been talking about live practices and how certain drills might trigger u obtaining a badge, but not evident as to how they unlock.
I just got the break starter badge without having the proper requirements on the rebounding attribute. I'm a 6'3 PG with ZERO in rebounding category.
I got it on the late game situation drill...I didn't do anything special aside from winning +15 GOLD on the drill. I got it on my 4th live practice in a row right after all star break. I got it when my progress bar was about halfway to the GOLD gym rat badge (even though it appears as a mental badge on your badge list and not a skill badge).
So I'm wondering after X amount of live practices, do u get this badge automatically at a certain point? Can anyone confirm if they got break starter badge without meeting the requirements and during a live practice like I just did? That's 69 badges total now.
EDIT: NVM I just saw my ratings and my defensive rebound is at 75 which is what is required for a PG to get it along with 75 pass accuracy. So now we can definitely confirm that not only +5 boosts count towards meeting badge requirement, but practice boosts also count as well. I guess doing back to back live practices your practice boosts STACK up since I have not played a My Career game just yet. This also explains why it unlocks during a live practice now.Last edited by dnyce87; 12-15-2015, 03:41 PM.Comment

Re: Official 2K16 MyCareer Badges thread
. A Upgrade an attribute that meets whatever badge requirement and immediately go to practice it unlocks there.
. B you purchased +5 boosts then head into practice
. C you have back to back off days and have practice boosts from yesterday's practice
So there is no separate way or method of unlocking badges during live practice. The same rules apply as if it was for My Career, but if you're smart you will take advantage after all star break when you have 4 off days in a row and do all live practices and get +120 boosts in attributes. Doing this allows you for a better chance to unlock certain badges that you otherwise don't want to waste attribute blocks for.
For example, I am a 6'3 Balanced PG and do not want any rebounding blocks. I have 25 defensive rebound as my base. To get Break Starter badge you must have 75 rebound, 75 pass accuracy and grab 250 defensive rebounds in 1 season. So how I unlocked this badge, I had a +5 boost from purchase (30) then in 3 practice drills (within the 4 off days and this is key how I unlocked it) I got +15 defensive rebound in each one.
Now a lot of this has to do with luck because you don't have the option of picking your 2 drills you want. With practice boosts carrying over (since no my career game was played) I was able to stack the practice boost I got for defensive rebound and combine it with another 2 drills that had +15 towards defensive rebound. Your best chance is obviously getting gold for all drills so u get +15 no matter what. This ultimately added up to 75 and at the end of my 4th consecutive practice I unlocked it.Last edited by dnyce87; 12-15-2015, 07:21 PM.Comment

I got it with practice boosts. 3 drills that gave me attribute boost towards defensive rebounding and got gold on all of them. No sacrifices were made lol.Comment

Re: Official 2K16 MyCareer Badges thread
What's your default rebounding rating - how many bars you used there?

Re: Official 2K16 MyCareer Badges thread
I have ZERO bars in rebound category leaving me at whopping 25. With +5 boost and 3 drills that contributed towards defensive rebounding, that is +15 a piece coming to 75. So it looks like this:
25 base defensive rebound rating
+5 boost purchase
+15 practice boost
+15 practice boost
+15 practice boost
= 75 defensive rebound rating
Hope this helps people who are trying to get break starter badge without having to skew their upgrades for it. I now have every skill badge possible minus post lockdown defender (can't get this) and scrapper (need 1 more loose ball save). I need primetime, championship dna, heart & soul, and mentor for mental badges.Comment
