Re: NBA 2k16 - The Little Things
Played a game @ Sacramento, and opened up with a live video shot of the capitol building lit up at night. Very cool.
Playing as the Raptors...home game v the Lakers.
Got the full starting five intros...Lakers got booed as they each came out, but then really loud boos for Kobe.
Place then went quiet...Raptors starting five intros were insane.
Great stuff.
Love how each game has a different start.Comment

I like how you can draw fouls off of pump fakes this year. Although I think it's animated and you can't manually do itComment

Re: NBA 2K16 - The Little Things
Adding to that, I love how the pump fake foul triggers an automatic jump shot attempt for the user, just like how we see all the time on tv with guys forcing up shots when fouled. Probably the only "automatic animation" I'd welcomeComment

Re: NBA 2k16 - The Little Things
After the first quarter the announcers were talking about Pau and Marc Gasol being starters in the all star game last year then they cut to a pre game interview of Pau talking about Marc. I had no idea that was added this year and caught me completely by surprise.

One of the first things I noticed in how much the crowds get into games. Especially close games.God, Family and The Chicago Bulls.

Re: NBA 2K16 - The Little Things
This could have been in the game before but it was still cool to see. I was playing a game yesterday 08 celtics vs 13 Heat. I was bringing the ball up, i believe with rondo could have been cassel, with Chalmers pressuring full court. I decided to call for a screen and KG came and set a screen as I began to push the ball up and the defender ran into the screen getting laid out in the process. This allowed for an easy drive to the lane where I passed the ball back to a trailing KG for a dunk. I don't think I've played a basketball game where a smaller defender would get crushed while running into a screen from a bigger player. It was so effective I was afraid I'd be called for an offensive foul.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 - The Little Things
Somewhat related is of free the ball is this year. Blocks, steals/strips, losing the ball I'm traffic all feels better. In past games it felt let you would have to time things right so that the appropriate 2 man animation could play out but this year it feels more like an interaction with the player and the ball oppose to player and player.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 - The Little Things
The blocks are fantastic in this game and I love that the sounds on blocks vary. Had a nice block with KG on Chalmers as he drove baseline and not only was the block emphatic but the sound matched perfectly. Have also seen some nice chase down type blocks due to the defender being taller/longer.

Re: NBA 2K16 - The Little Things
Did anyone mention that you can do step backs/hop steps and keep your dribble? I was doing this while practicing with 06 Wade and at first I thought it was a glitch in which he double dribbled but when I looked at the replay you can tell that his off ball hand comes close to give the illusion that he is going to shoot but the hand never touches the ball. In order to shoot after a step back you actually need to initiate the shot yourself with the shot stick or shot button. And either way it looks, shot or no shot, it looks fluid. Much better than last year where if you attempted a step back the player would typically automatically go up for a shot.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 - The Little Things
Someone mentioned turning player chatter up to hear the refs but one thing I noticed and not sure if it was in last year or not. But players will call out saying watch "Nash" or watch "Lebron" and it seems like it's a ton of names they call out and not limited to just one player or the star players only from each team. Really awesome detail.Comment
