They probably want to charge an arm and a leg for it. I never heard of EA buying exclusive rights to it.

EA does have the exclusive rights to MSG.

Well, that explains the inaccuracies with seating, structure and lighting of that arena. Without the official license they can't (legally) recreate the arena exactly or they open themselves up for (more) litigation.

Better off having slight "imperfections" and not get sued (again), then completely recreate the arena and lose millions of dollars.

It's not just the garden it's the staples center too. Way too bright.

Whats funny is that its the opposite for the Verizon Center. I attend 25-30 Wizards games a year and the first level is never dark (like it its in Staples or MSG).

But I was just watching a vid and the lighting is dark for Verizon.

There are many things art wise that id like remedied but i know for sure all 30 arenas arent blazing dark.

Some people are stuck in an illusion.

Never understood the lighting (or color) comments. To me, it's going to look different from person to person based on their preferences, TV model/mode, vision, and what broadcast they normally watch. Someone made a post about how TNT and ABC look different based on their broadcast feed which was something that I never noticed before. I watch the Pacers on NBA League pass, the local broadcast is so much "darker" than a national broadcast. I swear Indiana Fox Sports is still using the same cameras from early 2000.

I game on two TVs. In my master bedroom, the game looks more vibrant and bright due the "game mode" on that TV. On my TV, the colors are a little bit duller, but the sharp/contrast is a little bit better.

What about the people who've been to those arenas?

I've been to MSG, Staples, Phillips Arena, Verizon, Oracle and Wells Fargo.

The lower decks during a Knicks or Lakers game are dark during play. So dark that you cant see people in the upper deck from the lower deck well. Staples during a Clippers game is much lighter.

Verizon is NOT dark at all and its never been. I can see the entire arena from my seats in 104. Same with Oracle.

The broadcast can affect how an arena looks but not as drastically as you would think.

Seems like team specific lighting isn't there. Played in LA Lakers to check and place was fully lit.

Funny, because checked the lighting with the 80's team and it had the crowd darkened properly.
