We past that part. We beat our men lol. Nobody needs those tips from our videos.

Your only reason for coming in this thread and posting is because you're scared. But don't come in here saying were ranting like this is a horrible game and the defense is terrible and etc. We are pointing out some unrealistic things going on with video proof. If them fixing invisible barriers going to break the defense, then I say keep it as is. But if they can fix it and make it realistic, I am all for that. Were all aiming for the best bball game. This thread isn't about making defense easier. It's about making it realistic and not cheating us when we do beat our man.

First of all what i did say was i'm all for positive criticism and i didn't say this isn't one.

But these instances could hurt Overall balance of the game bcs it did in the past. I'm all for improvement hopefully it will when we have %100 physics implemented in games then we can truly say smt about these instances but for now everything is in progress and devs need to progress for newer iterations also keeping in mind that there needs a balance. A good game is always defined with a Balance. As i've told you sliding you Show here doesn't always happen, actually it's quite less, i'm beating a dead horse here you already have understood my point here i hope.

Every criticism could hurt overall balance of the game if solutions are implemented poorly. Just because patch 4 was poorly executed and tested doesn't mean we never give input about shot percentages ever again.

We have to trust 2K to be able to implement nuanced solutions, and the time to do that is now, early in the patch cycle, as opposed to late when missteps are too late to fix.

i find it extremely hilarious how ppl are saying read and react to the defender.
And nobody is bashing the game, it's close to perfection, but you guys choosing to ignore these issues are holding the game back

Its a shame how people are dropping subliminal messages about this thread by creating another thread saying "There is nothing wrong with the CPU on-ball defense..." If you were the real basketball player you claim you are, metaphorically you wouldn't have taken our ball and ran to another court.

The simple to conceive, but possibly difficult to execute solution is to have the CPU space backwards in that situation. Right now the CPU isn't considering itself beat, so it's breaking the ratings and motion to obey. At that angle, which might be very specific, the CPU first has to realize it's beat, then respond properly according to their physical abilities and IQ.

There's really no reason for all of the back and forth. The computer can clearly be beaten off of the dribble. The computer also, in some situations, clearly cheats to correct its own poor defense.

I love that video footage has been provided on both sides of the debate. As long as we keep focused on solutions, this will lead to positive change.

Man, I can't give you that one. Technically, the defender was already stepping over the leg to go above the pick anyways. What you showed was some slight clipping at the feet. You'll find clipping in most games if you slow it down.

Now, if the entire body or even a leg went through the defender, then you would have a legit argument. Last time I checked, there are no tripping animations in the game.

This is being addressed in the patch right?

If you notice though, the defender is able to slide over the pick before you can take even a step as the user. Those annoy me because it's like the CPU is reading your stick inputs before you are even able to move.

Even though the CPU cheated and slide over the screen before you really move in a direction, they are able to slide back over it in the other direction before you can slam them the opposite way.

They are able to do this with really poor defenders as well.

I think the on ball D is this was to protect the CPU from getting pooped on. In real life (the NBA) even the best perimeter defender can only stay in front of an elite ball handler so many times. Actually he'd be very lucky to stop penetration even half the time. The help D and communication is the real star of the Show when it comes to real hoops. Great perimeter defenders can force guys in certain directions, but no way you're stopping a guy like James Harden, Kyrie, or Curry for going to the hoop altogether. That's where the problem stands with 2K. Guys are simply not helping and guarding the paint like they should be. The game just isn't smart enough for that yet. CPU loses it's man all the time for no reason. average passers and facilitators dropping 15 dimes like it's nothing. That alone should let you know how the overall defense lacks heavily in comparison to the NBA.

How is this cheese? If a defender is beat, he's beat. Tired of you homers that never see anything wrong even though there are glaring issues.
