Now after nearly a year I have to say I don't like 2k16 at all, to be honest. I play 2k16 solely in two online leagues I am member of, and there all the problems within this game show up on a regular basis. From a competitive standpoint, 2k15 was a much better game in my opinion. One can argue if 2k15 after patch 4 was complete crap, too, but I think before patch 4, 2k15 was a pretty, pretty good game, where 2k16 isn't even close.

It's pretty hard to play games against very good opponents, if you have to spend 24 seconds of every defensive possession baby sitting your AI teammates. Not possible to play lockdown D, which has been my trademark in 2k15 and before, if you're busy with watching for your teammates...

Aside from dribbling and the career mode I don't think there's anything 2k15 did better than 2k16.

2k16 is by far the best sports sim I've ever played. But still heavily flawed.

In my opinion the off ball animations in my option is what separated NBA 2K16 from 2K15 and the rest of the sports games Madden NFL and MLB 16. Hopefully they will take notice and improve on this in future titles definitely adds a realistic layer to the game like you are actually in the environment as opposed to just having static players around you.


I am looking for 2K to polish up on the off ball animations in 2k17 as there were some slight issues in 2K16. If we get that plus body types for our created players! Yikes it's going to be good!

Gameplay wise? 16. Aside from dribbling. I HATE the dribbling in this game with a passion.

I did however had more fun on '15, though. I loved playing park and rec on the game, especially with friends. I stayed away from stage whenever the demigod came out though.

Defense 16789095323689x better this year too. Last year was hell.

Basically to sum up everything IMO 2k16 is way better gameplay wise but 2k15 was just way more fun.

And I hate off balance jumpers. But it's not that bad lol

2K16 is the better game. One of the best 2Ks. Might be in my Top 3.

2K16 is probably the best since 2K11 and will probably overtake 2K11 as my favorite bball game once I really start to get deep into the gameplay and new modes.

Wow, I really spoke too soon here. That honeymoon phase is no joke.

10 months later and I can confidently say that 2K16 is easily my least favorite 2K game.

2k16 introduced new gameplay and anything new will come with gripes but overall, gripes and all, 2k16 is the better game in terms of what they are striving for.

Funny how opinions can differ that much. I think defense in 2k16 is nearly impossible, because I have to focus on negating every mistake the AI does for me on defense. In the end I either receive an open jumper or an open layup, because I'm not able to negate every mistake...

On 2k15, it was possible to really lockdown opponents or at least to force your style of defense on your opponent. I was really good at closing down the paint and force my opponents to shoot with bad 3 point shooters. Not possible to set up this kind of defense in 2k16.

I would go with 2016 over 2015... Dribbling and the players not having weight to them since the Christmas patch have tarnished the game for me. Fundamentally I think 16 plays better. The funny thing is that 15 was more fun.

I'll take 15, simply because controls were much more responsive on both offense and defense. Call me crazy but when i input a control i immediately want to see the corresponding move(ment) on screen. Not half or even a full second later.

I was saying this as far as Park/Stage/Rec. I should've clarified more that was my mistake. I know what you're saying though.
