Re: Defence matters? Hmmmm
I played on HOF for 5 games in my 2nd season. It was severely unfair because my team was great (Heat) but they wouldn't show it. I had no choice to switch to superstar after 0-5 start. Not only am I having fun with myCareer, I'm winning. We haven't played top teams yet so I don't expect us to go 77-5

I see what you mean, MC teammates are quite dumb when it comes to rotation.Favorite NBA Teams:
Miami Heat
New Orleans Pelicans
New York KnicksComment

They are terrible on defense even on all-star, but I remember last year they get a bit better as your team chemistry goes up.Comment

Re: Defence matters? Hmmmm
The number one tip I found out 3 games ago in order to be great at the game is to always focus on your player. In your peripheral vision you should keep track of your man and where the ball is. That should allow you to react well to any circumstances.
After that, the next tip is to understand that you won't be able to cover the whole court yourself. Pick a man and stick to him. Take him out of the equation. Shut him down. Make his life miserable. That'll translate to his teammates as well. You're better than him because you can both shut him down AND help on defense.
Pick your spots on D. Number 1 priority is to stick to your man and ruin his day. After that, look out for the ball, especially if the action is getting close to you. If you're certain you can help AND have enough time to contest/cover your man, go for it. Either force the handler to pass to someone else, wasting their shot clock, or contest the shot. Don't go too early, since they can pass out to the open man (yours).
Be patient.Comment
